| I need advice about patio sharing (with neighbors...) Here's the deal: when hubby and I moved here last June, the people upstairs had the use of the sideyard here (with fruit trees, weedy 'grass' and a big pile of stone), we got the paved-in back - we live on the ground floor and the living room windows overlook the back - we used it as bringing food back and forth for example. We got our chairs, umbrella and the grill there. Now, there were new people moving in upstairs a few months ago and they put some chairs there as well. The lady thought our chairs and umbrella and grill belonged to the landlord, I told her No they are ours but they didn't move their chairs from there... The back is L shaped and big enough for them to put their stuff on the other end. We were planning to put some fake grass carpet on 'our' side, we have more stuff, lamps, pillows for chairs and tables inside and I also wanted a lot of flowers there, I started planting like crazy already. How can I bring it to the neighbor's attention that that part of the back is 'taken' without starting something unpleasant. I don't want to move our stuff to the other empty end as we were there first and it's so great with those windows there, we don't need to go around the house with stuff.... Any advice?? Pls, I'm sorry for length, I needed to vent a little, I want my own house!!!

| Maybe you could speak with your landlord and he could "advise" them which part is whose. If not, I would just politely tell her what you told us....in the past this was your part and that was "their" part. Hopefully, it all works out for you!!

| Wow, that's a touchy one. I feel your pain! I agree with LuvtheCooper though, sounds like a job for the landlord. I'm suprised this wasn't explained to the new tenants up front. In the event that this is not a "landlord determined issue" but just something the old tenants and you had worked out, then I would think a friendly discussion is in order. SOON, before they go buy a bunch of stuff for out there! Good luck, and keep us posted!

| I would let the landlord address this. Hopefully, this keep the new neighbors from getting upset with you. Tammy |

| Def let the landlord handle the "dirty" work, so you don't look like the bad guy! Good luck!!
