Windows Vista? Does anyone have it yet? I've been looking into it but I'm not sure if I want the hassle of all the PC changes! Is there more to it than just an enhanced gaming experience? I'm not into games so there would have to be more to it than that.

I have a mac, but my boyfriend is big into computers and does it for a living. He said he is waiting until the Fall to get it because there are too many bugs with it now. Just thought I'd share

I heard the same, too many bugs. Plus you would have to make sure all of your application software/drivers were compatible.

| Yes on Vista, no on Office 2007 I have been using Vista for over a month. I originally bought the upgrade and it crashed my puter, so I bought a new puter with it. It is "pretty". My big mistake was getting Office 2007. For some reason, those files have an odd extension that puters running earlier versions of Office cannot read. I recommend Vista but I do not recommend upgrading to Office 2007 for a long time. One of the companies I do business with requires online billing, and their systems do not recognize by Office 2007 Word documents, even if I save them as earlier versions of Word. Such a pain!

Thank you...I'm going to check into it a little more before I do anything. I really like the computer I have now and there's nothing wrong with it...I just wondered about Vista.

If it was me, I wouldnt get it yet. Has tooooo many bugs that have to be worked out. My boss got it, it crashed his computer, delete his sound card, and he's been going thru soooo much ever since. I firmly believe in never getting new software the first year it is out. Wait...it will be worth it. He said it has really cool features, but its full of bugs and too many things that its not compatible with right now. Give it a while and I'm sure it will be great.

I got a new laptop a few weeks ago that has Vista. I haven't had any problems with it. I have a trial version of Office 2007. It runs out soon and I'm not sure if I'll upgrade or not. I've been doing a lot of work from home and have to be careful how I save files if I want to be able to use them once I get back to the office. So far I like Vista, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money to upgrade a computer already running Windows XP or anything else.

My computer guy told me to never upgrade immediately to anything new computerwise. Always wait a while until all of ther kinks have been found and corrected. I don't know how long it takes, but it sounds like a good idea. Judy
