| Rant: people not studying up on pupsbefore they buy. my very elderly neighbor who is a shut in. Grandkids just got her yesterday for her birthday. She's 89 years old. a westie puppy. Man that puppy's high octaine. She can't keep up it's 8 weeks old. Milly is like I said 89 and has troubles walking and bending over. I'm coming over right now as often as possible to help her and the pup. but my god. Looking up the breed they're not actually something for a none active person. Wished people would look up a pup before they buy. especailly for the elderly. I mean if you go by her age. they'd been both Milly{whom I adore} and the kids and heck the pup woud have been better if they got her a older dog from a rescue and not a terrier. cause by the time the puppy is 4 years old,Milly will be 93. vent off. {anyone interested the puppy in my avator is my baby.} |

| That is a shame What should bring her comfort is going to be a real pain in the ass! They just weren't thinking, huh? She needs a mellow dog or a cat. I'm glad you're helping her, though you must be worn out! How is your new baby doing? Got any bigger pics?!?!

| OMGoodness that's really sad. The poor woman. I can really understand her plight. If I had realized how much work Tinkerbelle was going to be, I wouldn't have gotten her. We're doing fine now. but I'm much younger than your neighbor even though I have some disabilities. An older dog would be so much better for her. Can she talk with her family about it? Surely there's something that can be done. |

| Oh, my. I think you are right. A westie puppy and a woman that old are not a good match. Any puppy probably. I had a westie and dearly loved him, but they are very high maintenance and lots of work. They can also have lots of trouble with allergies.

| Yes I've talked to Milly and her grandkids. Milly doesn't want the kids to think she's ungrateful. and the Kids are just { excuse me please.} plain stupid. they think small breed dog equals lap dog. I'm helping her out with walking the little booger. He's tireing me and my puppy out and running laps aropund her house. LOL trying really really trying to be be nice. but come on. this is not a match and Milly's getting bit alot. TyTy |

| Oh that is so sad, is there anyway that maybe you could talk to them and mention that YOU think the puppy might be too active for her. Who cares if they get pissed at you. Then suggest that maybe a shelter dog might be a better choice. A retired breeding dog from a good breeder might be perfect for her. |

| Been there done that. I've spoken with the kids. again hitting ma head on the wall. my preteen and I are taking the pup for walks with us. five times a day. like my own pup. and doing ball alot. I'm getting Milly peebands for the fella. and gave her one of my pads from Beyond spoiled. Milly's beyond stressed at this point. he barks alot and she's a shy and very quiet person. she's terriffed that she's annoying the nieghbors with his barking. I'm thinking of taking him over to my home at night so she can sleep. doesn't look like she's slept in days. and she's always holding him trying to make him happy. it's the match from heck. TyTy |
