Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Doing a lesson on Dog Care tomorrow - any suggestions? I was asked to teach a lesson on Dog Care for my youth group meeting tomorrow. I'm going to talk about the obvious things (ie. grooming, vet care, etc.) but I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions on what I should talk about? I'm also going to try to find the thread on doggie CPR to make handouts about it. Soooo...any suggestions? (and Maddie's coming with me to help! )

Donating YT 30K Club Member | How about starting with making the decision to get a puppy and the commitment it involves and finding the right breed for your lifestyle, then go into caring for it from bringing it home to end of life. Good luck you will do a great job!

| Hey Megan! What a great thing you are doing The doggie CPR thread is a sticky now in General (I think). You could talk about poisonous foods, how to find a lost dog, the importance of identification (tags/micro-chips), therapy dogs and what all they do. You are going to be great, if I could I would come see you present Have a great time! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | haha it was quite interesting! I was sick all last week and I had no voice. So I stood up there and croaked for a little bit, until I opened my mouth to talk and no sound came out, that's when my mom took over. Maddie was a perfect angel, and everyone loved her. She was very helpful when I was demonstrating how to brush them (she enjoyed that part) however she wasn't as happy when I put her in a little travel crate to show how to decide what the correct size is. Overall, it was pretty good. Everyone said they enjoyed it.....even if I didn't have a voice.

| Awww Thats great Megan. I am so proud that she was a good girl for you. Sounds like you did a great job!! It was nice that your mom was there for moral (and verbal) support too! Take care.
