Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers. My Mom now has congestive heart failure so they are giving her Lasix to help get rid of the fluid in her lungs and some new meds to help with her heart. I missed the cardiologist as I was bringing my Dad his lunch, so I hope I can see him tomorrow. A big problem is my Dad cannot take care of himself so I have to go there 4 times a day. I am going to see if we can get some help in to be with him part of the day. My one brother called and told me he has a real bad cold and cannot help out this weekend which is typical for him!!!

Patti.. I know what your going through I took care of both my elderly parents, my mother had congestive heart failure and I use to rush her to hospital during the night. It is not easy taking care of both. I pray to God that he gives you strenght and that your parents get better...

So call me any time. Your mom and dad are very lovely parents, and I pray for your mom to get better and your dad to be okay, I know he must be having really rough time. I think your parents are lucky to have such a caring daughter.

Thanks everyone for the kind words it really helps! I talked to her new cardiologist and they are tyring some new meds and will do 2 tests today, She may come home tomorrow or Sunday, I hope so my Dad is getting mentally worse without my Mom there.

Thanks everyone! My Mom was just discharged, my sister brought her home and I got everything set at the apartment. That's the good news. The bad news is that the echocardiogram showed a severe deterioration of her mitral valve so there's not a lot they can do, Hopefully with medicine and resting more she can prolong her life some. It is very difficult and ruly appreciate eeveryone's prayers and concerns.

I'm sorry Patti for what your going thur. I will say a prayer for you and your family.

It's not easy when your parents are older and in poor health. Take Care.... and I hope you get some help from your siblings, you shouldn't have to take this on all by yourself.
