Ugh, I feel awful! Anyone else? Sorry, I just needed to vent my misery.

| I have seldom been bothered by allergies ... but ... I'm obviously allergic to Colorado!!! I have had problems ever since we have been here ... it's really dusty and there is lots of coal dust! I have pretty much gotten used to having "good days & bad days" ... I can also predict the weather!! The doctor has done everything including an MRI & an MRA so I pretty much have to endure it! So ... I can truthfully tell you "I feel your pain!" This is odd ... not five minutes ago, I read in Prevention Magazine that in 2007 they are coming out with "genetically" altered cats for people [such as my Patrick] who are allergic to cats!! Can you believe it?!? The article also said that they will sell for about $3500!!

| Get your doctor to prescribe Allegra D. It really helps my son. Also a nurse told me to get Claritin (non-prescription) and take one in the morning and one at night.

I'm sorry to hear the little devils found you. I have a few family members that suffer pretty bad from allergies. It is not fun. I hope you feel better soon. Oh, and I would go with Orange. Orange you the sweetest dog? Orange you adorable?

| Damn those lil' mutant Devils. They're invading my space, too. For the past week, I have been in bed most of the day or on the computer. Nowhere outside because I thought I could escape them that way. Boy, was I wrong! I have been sneezing up typhoons and sniffling until my nose is like Rudolph's. I hate it !!!! It annoys the living crap outta me. Have you tried getting an allergy shot? I hate shots, but it worked on my boyfriend who had worse allergies than I did. He sneezed like once every 4-5 minutes, it got annoying! But after the show, he's been completely allergy-free. Lucky duck. |

| I feel the allergy pain. I have them too. I take Claritin for mine since everything else makes me sleepy and I have such an odd reaction to many medications. My sons both take Claritin too and it works well for them. I love the name Banana for a dog. Its cute. I have thought about naming a dog Daquiri since I love strawberry daquiris. LOL Cant remember who commented about the allergies in Colorado but I know what they are talking about. My kids live with their dad in southern colorado and whenever I am there my allergies kill me and I have noticed that the kids allergies are worse there also. |

| Darn allergies really suck! Mine haven't gotten real bad yet this spring, but normally they affect my eyes more than anything and then skin around my eyes gets so red and sore and they look like they've been burned. I also sneeze a lot...8 in a row is my number...sometimes 10 or 12, but 8 is the magic number. Guess Seinfeld would refer to me as a multiple sneezer. LOL Hope you feel better! |

| Hey guys, thanks for sharing my pain. I'm finally back online after being zonked out most of the day. I rummaged around in my meds box this morning in a fog trying to decide if I had anything that wouldn't take me out. Finally settled on Dayquil, I know its for colds, but oh well. Anyway, it took me down into la la land for about 4 hours today. So much for non-drowsy! This is the sad part: I'm already on Allegra 180 all year. So when my allergies are the worst I have to take meds on top of that. Many nights I take a Tylenol PM cause it has benedryl, keeps me from waking up sneezing, and the pain med part helps my arthritis in my neck. I don't take allergy shots, tried them once and they didn't work. At least not in the first year so I stopped. I know I'm pathetic! Reconsmomma, I like Daquiri. You could call him Daq for short! eensor, Claritin works really well for my daughter. She takes it for her seasonal allergies and will really need it this summer cause she's gonna work at a day camp...better her than me, LOL! Connie, I always love Seinfeld references, LOL. Bettyeanne, I've always wanted a cat, but not a $3,500 one. And, excuse me researchers, if you can genetically engineer a non-allergic cat, why on earth can you genetically re-engineer my genes so I don't sneeze my fool head off!!! Talk about mis-placed priorities, LOL!! I really wouldn't name my Yorkie Banana, but bkessler, I LOVE Jellybean and Mocha! Erin, Orange is funny, LOL!! Orange you clever!! hehe! Anyway, thanks everyone for the e-hugs!!

| When my allergies start acting up, I always dust and vaccuum hoping that helps. Actually, that's the only time I dust because it seems so futile, heh. One of the things that I hate about allergies (besides wanting my nose cut off) is when I walk Bodhi and someone wants to talk to us. Here I am having to keep wiping my nose, hoping there's no snot that I missed and talking to this person who is probably thinking "Should I tell her she has snot on her face?" or "Wow, this chic is a real sicky, hope it's not contagious!" |
