| im responding, although i have no personal experience..ive known a couple of people who've had it done and say it feels like needles barely poking at your skin. thats cool that youre getting it done, how much does that go for anyways? gl with it. you should post afterwards, saying how it went!

I Love Thor Donating Member | Oh how cool!! Well, I've never had it done before, but I had an interview last week at a Laser spa and I had to read up on all that stuff, and what I read was that you would feel a warm sensation. I know that's not very detailed but I don't think you'll find it too bad. Good luck, and I hope it goes great for you. Happy-never-shaving-again!! ... Lucky! |

I Love Thor Donating Member | Oh, it also depends what kind of procedure you are having done. What kind of laser are they using do you know? Or are you having electrolysis(sp?)? I think electrolysis hurts more because they send a shock down every single hair follicle, opposed to a laser that covers a wider area and your hair follicles absorbes the shock. (something like that ) </IMG> |

| I had laser hair removal done on my upper lip. The laser zap has a tingle sensation. Depending on how high the frequency is, it can feel like a little zap (if you've ever had physical therapy with ultrasound stimulation - just like this). The area to be lasered will be dry shaved and then a gel is applied. You will have redness for a short time afterward. The laser kills the root hair, but it takes several treatments to get good results. I had 5 treatments on the upper lip and should have had 1-2 more. I've read mixed results about the length it lasts. They will tell you it is permanent, but I've heard it lasts about 1 1/2 - 3 years. Mine is going on 5 years now and I still have about the same results. I need to pluck every a few hairs every few weeks, but it is much better than the regular bleaching and the definite mustache that was there!!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | i really want to do laser on my bikini line....i heard if you have really blonde hair laser won't take it off so you have to do electrolysis, laser will only work on black hair or dark hair. |

| You should ask if you can purchase some topical to numb you...I have had several laser treatments - my bikini and my underarms. It can be a pretty good zap! However, it wasn't so bad that I couldn't stand to go back for my next treatments! But topical, at least 30 minutes beforehand, really helps!

| i'm scared to death lol.. i really want to do this but a few of my friends that have had it done have told me horror stories.. maybe they were just trying to scare me lol. my brother had his tattoo removed by laser and he said it was very painful.. he's done about 4 treatments now, still having to do more though.. i might have this done in the future though because i also heard it was pricey. |
