				   | My favorite is the toy poodle. I've had 2 and they are easy to train, loving, quite bright, very loyal and love to please, need grooming but are easy to care for, and my little boy Indy had a special gift of knowing when I was going to have a flare of RA before I did and alerted me so I could take appropriate action. I love their little faces and tiny little feet. They are very aware of their grooming needs and become depressed when they aren't groomed well. I swear they are part human! Indy was a wonderful little buddy. His pic is in my avatar and there's one or two of him with Tink on the Gallery. |

				   | I'd love a Maltese, but can't afford the crazy price of them in the UK. Not quite a toy, belonging to the terrier group, but my other favourite is the Cairn Terrier. I've owned 16 of them & they are brilliant little dogs ![]() Absolutely full of fun, very loving & loyal, easy to train, get on well with other dogs, small enough to take anywhere but can walk for miles, very healthy with very few problems most of mine never needed the vet apart from their booster shots, long thick coats that are SO easy to care for, need I go on? |

				   | I would choose a toy poodle. I had an apricot toy poodle years ago and he was the best dog ever (shhh...don't let Jackson hear that ). They are so smart, easy to train, loving, loyal, etc. Everything that was said in that first post about toy poodles is so true! I love that they don't shed too. I guess I'd choose a Maltese for my third favorite. They are very sweet (at least my previous one was) and cute. They require more care than a yorkie or a poodle, however. Keeping those little faces white can be a challenge because of the tearing. So are you thinking of getting a second dog that isn't a Yorkie?
