| My uncle died today... from cirrochiss(sp) of the liver. Unfortunately he was an alcholic and the dreaded drink got him in the end. The scary thing is my dad, his brother is also an alcholic. My dad already has hepatitis of the liver thru drink so im sure he will go the same way. i get really annoyed with my dad when he drinks as i know it will claim his life to early!!! But he says he's not gonna stop and the worst part about that is that there is nothing i can do about it!

| I'm so sorry for your lose. I know what you are going through as my biological father is going through the same thing. He doesn't have much to live. The dr's told us only 5% of his liver is working. My father has been a drinker all his life. I never had a relationship with my father but feel I have to be here for whatever he has left to live. He's in a nursing home now. |

| I am so sorry about your uncle Annie. Maybe your father will think about his choice after he goes to his brother's furneral. God works in mysterious ways. For your sake I hope he sees how he is hurting those who love him. It is a sickness and he can't do it alone. Maybe he will go for help after he says goodbye to his brother. Praying he does. Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Oh hon my condolences on your loss. My mom too is on that road. She lost her dad very early to alcohol and all of her siblings have a problem as well so I can totally sympathize with you on talking until you are blue in the face. Sending hugs, prayers and blessings to you and your family.

| I'm sorry to hear it, I wish I could say something that would make it all better... Its a tough way to lose someone. when we lost my hubby's mom, it was smoking that got her.. its hard when it totally preventable... It just leaves us feeling pissed off.. cause it does not have to happen, ya know? But on the flip side, there is NOTHING we can do about.. you know that.. but it still makes us angry.. I hope you are able to find peace with it all.. its tough. I'm sorry he's gone...

| I'm so sorry for your loss, and for those in your family who are still caught in the grip of this terrible addiction. I have lost a beloved cousin from this, and it was so hard. They go too young.
