Great thread, V!! Seems like everyone is having colds, etc. ... not me ... I refuse!! :p Will certainly be saying little prayers for all those who are sick.

"Nurse V" .... I don't understand why men are so stubborn, but they are! When my Mom would get that mindset, we would just remove her choices! Boy, did that ever get that Indian's dander up! :rolleyes: Then, she would relent ... grudgingly but cooperative! She was a firm believer in Vick's! She liked to rub a little dot between her eyes and another little dot under her nose when she would be having days like your husband. I don't know if there was really any medicinal benefit or if it was simply a decision that was her's, but it always made her feel a little better!! ;) I always keep you and your husband in my prayers!! Hope he feels better soon.

Ohhhhhh.... sick as in unwell and here I thought you had a gross joke to share or something. LOL!

Get well wishes to all those under the weather! So far so good for me but my son woke up with a sore throat and puffed up sinuses. He has a basketball game tonite too. Poor kid!

thank you ! at this point I'll try anything - looks like I need to get some vick's....he's so stuffed he can't get any oxygen :(

Methinks it's called "denial" ;). Prayers your way for hubby. I unnastan' (somewhat) where you're coming from. We are so very careful about our Hannah being exposed to anything, I think I have everyone afraid to come to my house! We're just tired of her being in the hospital or ER. Praise God, it's almost three years since last hospital stay!

V, I hope your hubby feels better soon.

I'm very sick, I have a hard time seeing..There is just to much to list....I go to the dr tomorrow.

I was SO horribly terribly sick last week. I was out of school from Tuesday-Friday. Then on Monday I woke up practically deaf (I had followed my friend around all day at school asking her to tell me what people were saying because I couldn't hear them). That lasted through yesterday. was pretty awful! The doctor gave me an antibiotic. I'm a little concerned cause I have an audition tomorrow and well....my voice isn't that great right now lol. Hopefully I'll be feeling better in the morning!

I have been sick for 2 weeks and last week my doc said I have pneumonia. I started feeling better a couple days later and then today my cough is getting worse and my throat is on fire....

I hope everyone get better soon, and for those still working sick, all the more hugs. I am to much a baby and know I wouldn't do it...

Guess Im not the only one..I have been fighting this cold for almost 3
week and nothing helps..I've tryed vit.C, cough syrup, pills and nothing
is working :( ..

Awh...How sweet of you! :justahug: And, since you asked... After two weeks of a low grade fever and seemingly not breathing, I found out I had double pneumonia. Now after three days strick bed rest, azithromycin, home nebulizer treatments and robitussin w/codine - I'm happy to report I can finally take a deep breath without coughing up a lung! And, I wish all who are under the weather a speedy recovery too! :nursing:

I don't feel well at all. If I didn't know better I'd swear that I'm having a miscarriage right now! (I had my tubes tied 6yrs ago and have been on birth control pills since Oct. for female problems.) I'm cramping so bad and other things that go along with miscarriages. (blood clots the size of my fist) I'm trying not to be to graphic. I might go into the ER if this keeps up.:(

Get well to all who are sick!!!!!!
