| ![]() Hi all! I'm going to new york with my in-laws in August (I know months away!) and I'm trying to decide where to stay with them. One of my hubby's little cousins is in a show which is why we're all going. I've been several times but always with my parents so never really on a budget. His parents can't affor the $200+ a night hotels so we offered to share room with them. I'm trying to find something near the "action" so to speak as in close to the Theater District, Time Square, Rockefeller, etc. but that isn't absurd. I know that I'm asking alot of a hotel in NYC, but since we'd be sharing with them a hotel room that has some breathing room to it would be nice too. Have any of you been and have suggestions? |

| ![]() Wish i could be more of a help. I live in long island so I dont stay in the city much. Here is a pointer though.. one of the hotels i did stay in had community bathrooms. Its common for hotels in the city that arent $400 a night. So just make sure you have your own bathroom ![]()

| ![]() why not rent a hotel room on Long Island then take the train to Penn station right near time square. That should be cheaper i'm guessing. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() sorry to say your probably not going to find a decent hotel in the city for a good price. your better off staying in jersey or out on the island. good luck on your search.

| ![]() Thanks for the help!! Common bathrooms would not be for me. I thought about commuting to the city, but it's their first time there and I'd really like to stay within walking distance of as much as possible without making them commute everyday to do stuff. I checked out hotels.com and found that the Hilton Garned Inn Times Square has decent sized rooms for about $250 a night. It's high but since their a little more spacious I don't think any of us will mind sharing. The rooms for 4 people are 2 queen beds and the rooms are around 300 square feet. I'm still waiting to hear their official budget for the trip, but I know we coudl swing $125. I'll let you know though! ![]() |
