| Fish... i just got a 55 gallon fish tank...but i didn't put anything in there yet because i'm still searching for a non-expensive filter. so i got a lot of time to think of what kind of fish i can get. i really like the" green spotted puffer fish." i heard that they are sometimes aggressive. do any of you have these fish? i also want fish that are unique and different but at the same time kind of cute. can some one give me some ideas of what fish i should get. it would be a lot of help |

| I have a 55 gallon tank also. Do you want a semi-aggressive tank or a community tank? The first fish I bought were tiger barbs not realizing they're fin nippers and mildly aggressive so I had to plan the tank around them. Little did I know for some reason they were dying and I kept replacing them but now I'm down to 3 barbs and will have to buy more since they do better in a larger school. Currently in my tank I have 3 parrot cichlids, 3 tiger barbs, 6 giant danios, 3 (had 4) cory catfish and a pleco algae eater. I love my fish! Cichlids are smart and get excited when I go near the tank. It's like they wag their fins at me! They can be quite aggressive though. Oh and yes they all have names! Here's a few pictures of my tank. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery....99&gid=6664427

| I have a 55 gal tank also. Right now we have 3 Silver & 2 Marbel Angelfish. 8 Multicolor Guppy's, 2 Lg Gold Sail Molly's and some 12 Tetris (the smaller one's keep disappearing) I think it's the Angelfish. I love my Tank, it's really relaxing. I could sit there for hours and just stare.

| We have a 55 gallon tank too! Absolutely LOVE it - I wish I knew what kind of fish we have but I don't well, I do know a few names, but the rest I don't. We bought the tank, fish and all, from another couple a few weeks ago and we are just learning about the fish. - I know we have neons - love them, they are so pretty and they school - two loaches - We don't see them much as they mostly hide in the rocks - 3 swordtails - one clearish one with an aqua tail - one dark orange and one yellow - one tiger barb - 3 algae eaters - one colisa lalia we have some more beautiful fish - but I don't have a clue what they are!

| catching up on my reading and saw this message. I had a 55 gallon in my old place, now my dtr and her hubby have it. I had a pleco, danios and I got 2 convicts. The convicts are great. They had babies and they watch over them and make sure other fish do not bother them. They will follow your hands on the tank and are great to watch. I now have a 20 gal tank and have a pleco and some mollies.
