| Selling a wedding dress?? My mom has her wedding dress from her second marriage and wants to sell it. It was worn once but was dry cleaned and boxed right after. It is in excellent condition and is very beautiful. It has a long beautiful train and is definately Not plain and ordinary. I think she paid around $1,000 for it. So my question is, where does she go to sell it?? Are there places that will take in wedding dresses and sell them?? Or would it be best to just sell it on ebay?? My second question is, how do we know how much to sell it for?? I don't have any pictures yet, she wants me to model it but I don't know if I will be able to or not. So how do we go about selling it?? Any input or suggestions is greatly appreciated!!!

| 2nd time loved Wedding Dress Hi Tracey, I am not sure of where you live or whether there would be a Bridal Consignment store there, but we have them here in BC, Canada. Actually in Vancouver, BC. I would believe that your city or a close by Urban center would have such stores. Yes, you also can sell it on e-bay,I would advise that you do model the dress for pictures on the site.My experience with this is similiar to your Mom's. I was told to ask for 50% OF IT'S ORIGINAL COST and shipping afterward. The exception being that you would need to set a reserve amount on the auction so that you at least reach a minimum amt for the sale. At a consignment store they also usually will sell the gown @ 50 % of the original and then take a commision, if it doesn't sell readily then they also start to discount the gown unless you make a request to have it returned if not sold in a specific time frame. Well I have exhausted my pee brain for you... lol Good luck!! Suellen

| When I was planning a wedding I went to www.freeweddingclassified.com and www.preownedweddingdresses.com the sites were pretty nice. I did find a whole lot on ebay, but remember people only shop there for a deal and really lowball!! Good Luck
