We still have no results on Mom's tests. The oncologist that we were to take her to tomorrow cancelled her appointment until next Tuesday. I was upset by that. Mom has been very uncomfortable and last night she didn't sleep much at all. I slept for the first time since this started...took a benadryl and that helped. Every time I woke up during the night, Maddie was sitting at the door wanting to go out to Mom. She just thinks she has to be with her and maybe I should just let her because she sure doesn't get any sleep in the bedroom with me and poor mom wasn't sleeping any way. I am trying to keep the faith, but I'm not doing a very good job. I just don't handle things well. I hope Mom can sleep tonight...the doc told us to double up on the pain pills, so hopefully that will help.

We've had a rash of home robberies in our city. The other night when it was my sister's turn to stay with mom, they were sitting in there and heard tapping on the wall of the house. Scarlett jumped off mom's lap and barked. The tapping stopped and then started again. My sister got freaked out and said she almost called me but didn't want to freak me out since I was home alone. I told her she should have called the police and called me and I would have gone down there and probably could have seen something shining my car lights in the yard. Anyway, we found out that is what these theifs do...they tap on a wall of the house and watch and listen for any activity. If my mom had been there alone, they would have broken in. I am so thankful Judy was there and immediately turned on lights, which must have scared them away. We also saw footprints in the snow the next day. The kitchen light was on when that happened, but they know the police have warned people to leave lights on when gone, so they have wised up to that.

Suz...I got the sweatshirts and the pair of pants you sent along with them. I figured the pants were meant for mom because you wanted her to be comfy. You sweetheart! We love the sweatshirts! Mom got so teared up that someone she doesn't even know would do something so special for her. She told me I need to go and buy her some nice thank you cards so she can send you one. I told her I'll just bring her a bunch of my handmade cards...I'll never use them all anyway! Thanks Suz. Your love and kindness touched us all today! *HUG*

Thanks to all of you who have been such support for me in all of this. I cannot thank you enough. I am so touched by all the love and concern.
