I just saw this (my power has been out all day)! I'm so glad it went well and everyone is right-there are a lot of treatments for endometriosis that are not invasive. I'm still gonna send you good thoughts

I am so glad you are going to be ok and that everything is treatable. You must have been so scared. I'm sorry you had to go thru that. I always like to find a thread after the good news is posted. I think we would all like to look like Villette if we could.

I am sooooo happy for you Kim! I just knew you were going to be ok, but man you have been through the ringer for a few months/year. No Fun! I hope the estrogen works, and you are back to normal until he decides what the next step is. Ya never know, maybe you will get lucky and not have to have surgery, I sure hope so.......

You're going to come out of this in great shape. Even if you have a complete hysterectomy, its nothing like it used to be. Small incisions & good drugs make it all better.

Kim I'm so happy everythings gonna be alright, and sorry you have been in this fix. As far as the Endo goes, I would be very interested in any new treatments. My daughter was diagnosed at 15, she is now 23.,and has many surgeries.

Well, that's pretty good news! It's NOT cancer, you can work with this

I had endometriosis pretty badly by the time I had my hysterectomy

I was a bad girl and hadn't had a pelvic exam since my daughter was born (she was 8 at the time

) I was having the heaviest, ickiest periods you can imagine, with terrible cramping, and they were getting to be 14 days long

! The other 14 days of my cycle started slowly being taken over by cramps, until it got to where I had no good days of the month. That's when I finally sought medical help. Stubborn, I know

If it was one of my kids or pups, you bet your booty they'd be at the doctor fast

Anyway, I was already done having my children, so the hysterectomy didn't bother me at all, in fact it was a relief

What kind of surgery were they talking about with you? I don't know how old you are, or if you have had your family yet, but I wish you all the best. I hope that you get relief with the meds, and that the surgery isn't too radical. I say it all the time with the vets and our dogs, but if you feel that what they plan for your care isn't right, or what you would like, don't hesitate to get a second opinion, k?

Did he tell you to take any iron supplements? Anemia can make ya feel pretty cruddy, so if he didn't discuss that with you, give him a call and ask.

Just read your post. Glad it's nothing that can't be taken care of. Still worrisome, but the prayers worked and will continue working! Prayers still going up that all will go well and you'll feel much better about all this soon.
