| Hysterectomy at a young age... I have a friend (I know this sounds cliche'd but I do and it's really not me) who is going through a very trying time in her life. She has a fybroid the size of a grapefruit growing in her lower uteran areas. Because of this she has to have a hysterectomy at a young age. She has no kids but is in a committed relationship, and is naturally so saddened that she won't be able to have any of her own kids. I told her I would come to YT and post to see if anyone has had similar situations that can explain their story, maybe even get to know each other and relate through experiences. I'm really very saddened for my friend because she would make an amazing mom. She is surrounded by siblings on their 4th child, so no one in her family even knows yet. Can anyone offer advice, related or just please Pray for my friend? Thanks, you guys are the best.

| i didnt have a fybroid but i did have cancer in my uterus area, cervix, and it was spreading to my colon but i had to have numerous freezings and cutting and you know i told the doctor i wanted to have kids and so he let me ride with having cancer for about 2.5 years, maybe she can take soe time out to have a child, its alot to ask but if the time is now then jump dont worry about anything else but what you want, and i had my twins and one more and now i have all my cancer removed and i actually am clear after them wanting to remove my uterus or hysterectomy at 19, i am clear to have more kids now, i just hope the best and there are so many things procedures, doctors etc that can help we pray for the best Quote:

| Thanks ladies. She is an amazing person with an even more amazing heart. Sometimes life seems so unfair to good people, while mean/bad people seem like they have it all. But I think God has big plans for my friend, it's just hard for us as humans to accept something we can't control. I just want my friend to see all of the well wishes, positive thoughts and especially personal experiences she can relate to.

| That's an incredibly difficult thing to have to go through. My mother had three cysts on her uterus and several fibroids on her ovaries and had to have a hysterectomy. However, she was done having children. I know it's expensive, but has she considered having some of her eggs removed and having them frozen? At least that way if down the line she decides to have children she can have another woman carry her baby. Just a suggestion. I had to have some things done to my cervix that would have prevented me from having children. It was 100% devastating. I was fortunate that I found an alternative solution to my problem. I doubt she has any alternative solutions. Anyway, I just thought I would throw the freezing her eggs out there. That way she doesn't lose every last chance at having her own blood-child.

| i had to have one when i was preg w my daughter. it was life or death. my husband and i had already decided on a 2nd child but that wasn't going to happen. he has 9 brothers and sisters who have had problems having their own children so they have adopted. there are so many adopted children in his family and they are so loved. i feel adopted children are the luckiest children in the world. my husband and i have talked about it but i think he and i just love our little girl to death that she will be enough. and we have our yorkies. i feel for her b/c of the fact of having no children. i have no words of wisdom or comfort only that she needs to take care of herself right now.

| I agree, what about freezing her eggs? Adoption is always an option too and although it may not be the same as having her own it sounds like she is a wonderful person who could give a child a great life. |
