A Test for my Husband Every year, I get the tree out and put it up and decorate it BY MYSELF ! Then the day after xmas I take everything down and put it away, MYSELF. Well this year I had to work the day after xams so my tree is still up. I think I'm going to leave it, and see if he offers to take it down. So do you think it will still be there by next xmas??? LOL :) |

guess im lucky. Jeff helped me take everything down...tree, decorations around the house. everything. and he even hauled them upstairs . |
I'm sure your husband is a great guy but I vote NOPE - the tree will sit. :) What you could do is put a note on the top instead of the STAR.... and simply say - TAKE ME DOWN AND PUT ME AWAY -THANK YOU SIR. or...you could say...IF you take me down you'll get a BIG Surprise |

Heck..... At my house the tree will be up with cob webs on it..... NOTHING gets done...unless I .......do it.... I say, it will drive YOU nuts before it does him.....:rolleyes: |
Ha, ha! This is really funny, because I've tried similar things with my hubby... so, if he's anything like mine I'll say it won't come down. However, I have found that it's just a matter of him really not noticing...Seriously, we bought a new dishwasher once. When it got delivered the guy left it in the foyer in front of the stairs that we use many times, every day. I left it there. I did not say a word. We had to turn SIDEWAYS just to get to the bottom step.:) A week later, I say..."so, when do you think you'll install that dishwasher?" He says, deadly serious: "What dishwasher?":eek: However, I have found that if I ask him to do it he'll do almost anything. He just really doesn't notice things on his own. So, it's kinda unfair to wait around, getting annoyed until he figures it out! Good luck though. I'm curious to see how your little experiment goes. |
Lets just say I KNOW it won't come down becasue...GET THIS !!! When I put it up he was out hunting and when he came home he actually came in the livingroom sat down in a chair and started talking to me and never even seen the tree......4 feet from his face , all lit up and decorated!!!! I actually had to say...do you like the tree!!!!! He never even seen it....right in front of his face!!! LOL :rolleyes: |

I vote NO if he is like most men. You could hang Valentines Decorations, then Easter, then New Years, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving....then it will be ready for Christmas again.....lol lol |

Your story reminded me of something from the other day - I told my husband this great blond joke - it was FUNNY and he barely laughed - so I said - "WHAT - you didn't think that was funny ???" and he looked me right in the eye and says...."Well...I guess it would have been alot funnier if I didn't live it everyday " What's up with THAT ! :eek: I didn't know whether to be insulted or laugh - so of couse I laughed.... and then said 2 simple bad words...lol last time he gets to hear a funny blond joke coming from his blond WIFE lol |

I think if your husband is ANYTHING like MY husband - then yes, it will most DEFINITELY still be here by next Christmas - LOL!!! :rolleyes: Probably won't have a whole lot of needles left on it - but it will still be there nonetheless lol :p However, my hubby has been off for almost 2 weeks (vacation) - and he doesn't go back to work until next Tuesday, so you better BELIEVE he is helping me take that dang tree down!!! :mad: I put it up by myself - but I REFUSE to take the thing DOWN by myself! |
this is too funny.... I, too, have decided that I WILL NOT take down the deco.. the hubby went NUTS putting up stuff(decorating for HIS graduation party) and I warned him..... SOOO We will have valentines day tree, Mardi Gras tree, Easter tree.... LOL.... I can leave it there until we have Halloween tree..... we will see haha d |
