When you were asked to housesit, did your boss mention specifically what she wanted you to do...feed the dog, take the dog for a walk, let the dog out couple times a day? I would just do what she had said she wanted me to do when she asked me to housesit. If she didn't mention the daughter would even be there, I wouldn't think she would expect you to be a wake up service or even cook dinner? If the daughter does have issues with you, and gets mad, I would be just calling up her mom and explaining that this goes far beyond what you thought and she might be needing to have a little "chat" with the daughter. If she is old enough for her mom to leave her to go on vacation and she didn't make arrangements for you to "babysit", I wouldn't!! Sounds like the dog was your "job", not the daughter:p Geeezzz, some people, and how messed up is that to pay a 35 year old woman to clean the kitchen for her own parents? People never cease to amaze me sometimes:rolleyes: |
I'm glad everyone sees this the same way that I do! haha When she asked me she said they just wanted someone to "be there", I wasn't really sure way - it's an awesome area. But then her daughter didn't get home 'til like midnight last night sooo I guess they just want someone to let the dog out after work kinda thing - which I could do without staying there, but whatever - I guess she thought it would be more convenient. I asked her if she wanted me to walk the dog, she said yes. No problem with that either at all. The past two days there have been dirty dishes left on the counter from her daughter. I just wish I didn't have to see her at all - but I guess it's inevitable! Oh well - only 5 more "sleeps" :) |

jeez.....a 17 yr old needing a babysitter. They didnt tell you shed be there did they? as from where im reading, unless i missed something, they didnt. your a house/ dog sitter. thats it!:) im sorry your going thru this. bosses make things alittle difficult. |
Ohhh she said she'd be there but, "Do her own thing" OH! And when I was there the day before they left, this girls dad said that her boyfriend was only allowed to stay there if the roads were bad (in Thunder Bay, the roads can get VERY bad - and no snowplows in site! haha) and that he had to sleep on the couch! Anyway... so then the first night I was there she said her mom lets her boyfriend stay there all the time and that he sleeps in her bed and her mom doesn't care... I was like "umm okay" - but seriously she's 17 - i'm 22, I would probably have done that when I was 17 (if my parents were gone) soooo I can't really say no he can't, b/c she would do it anyway! Her boyfriend and his friend sleep there everynight! |
