Wow, good eye, Lucy Lu. I am gonna make that just a stump of dead wood. It's just a freak of nature that it has what looks like a ribcage. LOL.

I think the bird's shadow is the shadow that is covering the....stump of dead wood (LOL). Because if you look closely at that shadow you can see the feathers at the very end of the wings. I think the picture is for real. But it's VERY scary.

I don't know...the talons are open but the body is already in the air.

If it was real it had to be taken when the bird dropped the animal

If it's real, it looks like it was taken with an incredible camera. So the zoom was probably amazing. (If it is real.)

It's a Fox. the first picture is a wolf in winter and the second is a fox. the loose alot of there color to blend in better.

This picture is so scary. I must share with all of you....My husband and I noticed that many times when we take our tiny yorkie out for a walk...(on a leash)....big birds appear and begin to circle us in the air. This has happened a number of times. Please be careful with your little ones and always keep a watch above. If this bird in the picture could pick up this fairly large animal, imagine how easy a yorkie would be. Gabby weighs 3 lbs. and our Maltese, Missy, is 4 lbs. Scary stuff.

Oh, great, this is going to drive me crazy. I was sure it was going to turn up on an urban myth page, but I can't find it.

My guess is a coyote. (see link below) And it was either a setup shot by a falconer or a patient photographer who spied the animal feeding on the carcass and waited.

Scary, nonetheless, for Yorkie owners!

OK, I found something on another site that discusses it. Most people are skeptical, but no one seems to have any proof that it's bogus.

wow that video was harsh! and they do all agree that it is a fox.

I don't know if it's real or not.But I know I'll be looking more closely at the sky while out with the wee ones.
