| I have a hamster in my classroom. They are very easy to care for. All pet supply stores will have hamster cages. I've gone through my share of them because hamsters are very smart and find their way out if they really want to. Make sure there is enough room in the cage for them to play. I just checked the Target website and they have cages listed, if you have a Target near you, you can check there. Boy hamsters, like most male creatures, have 2 little sacks. However, if they are very young, the sacks won't be showing yet.How did your kids just "come home" with 2 hamsters today?

| They walked home from school with some of their friends and I guess one of the boys they hang out with gave them to them. Anyway that's the story I got. I called the boys mom but I couldn't find any thing out. His mom is always gone or drinking. He lives with his mom and grandma but grandma is going senile. I feel real sorry for this boy. He is a good kid but his mom lets him run all over town all times day/night. He was here for halloween because he was trick or treating by himself. I invited him to join us and when they were done trick or treating we came back to my house and I fed all the kids dinner. (including him) At 9 pm I took him home since he lives across town from me. (I didn't want him walking alone in the dark.) Back on subject: I think my kids traded something of theirs for the hamsters. I don't live near any pet stores. They are all in the city which is about 2 hrs. from me. I am going today to get a couple of cages. Thanks!

| You can go to your local library and take out a book all about them. I used a fish tank for my hamsters b/c it was harder to get out of. They need hamster food, cedar chips, little food bowl, and water bottle as well as an exercise wheel. My female hamster smells funny and her butt was bigger than the males. Hope this helps. |
