| Sheer Cover & Bare Minerals Make-Up Okay, I know there have been posts on this (both of these) before and I have read them all............ I have a Sephora near me, so I plan on going there to get some Bare Minerals stuff............... BUT.............. I was at Bed, Bath & Beyond today and they had a lot of "as seen on tv" stuff and guess what they had.......they had Sheer Cover...... So, okay I bought some........I think it was $30 (but can't remember the exact amount) for a box that came w/ 3or4 foundation powders, the finishing power, two concealors, make up pad and brush....didn't open it all the way, so I haven't really checked it out to see what was all in there. Could someone give me an idea of how much the Bare Minerals is and do you have to buy everything seperately.... I guess I am looking for pros/cons on each product......I know everyone has raved about Bare Minerals, but I just had to try to Sheer Cover too. I am goin to use it on Thanksgiving to see if anyone notices any difference. (I normally do not wear makeup, but a few basics).

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It sounds like you got a deal to me - the Bare Minerals Veil is $25 ALONE at Ulta - that doesn't include the brush or powder - I think you did good girl - I bet you love what you bought - I really do like the Bare Minerals line and heard that what you're using is very close to the same thing - |

| Thanks! Duh!! I didn't think to check out sephora online to see! Where is my mind???!!! I like the thought too....that at Sephora, I am sure I can try before I buy.....although, I hate using the stores makeup samples YUCK...that kind of grosses me out! I have heard such great things about Bare Minerals, but you know me, I can't pass up a deal.....and I thought that was a good price, but just didn't know (plus, I didn't have to pay shipping or wait for it to come in or join a club, etc). I am lucky to walk out the door w/ some eyeliner and blush on....so this is a big step for me! HA! BTW....Kristy.....you are crazy! hee,hee

| I got a starter kit of Bare Minerals for $59.99 , The kit comes with several brushes which alone are worth alot, mosturizer, foundation, natural veil, and several others. A great kit for the price. I am not big on foundations this feels like your wearing nothing. I use it when I am going out normally I wear just blush and eyemake up. This kit comes with a dvd to tell you how to apply. I do use there products I like there lipstick and eye shadows. Btw I purchased my at Ulta they have great stuff.. |

| I use bare essentials and I bought the start up kit for about 60.00 and then I bought whatever I needed separately there after. I LOVE IT. I have ALOT of acne and I don't feel comfortable leaving my house without make up and I use bare essentials...it really works wonders. I also use a cargo concealer as a base for the really bad flaws. Also available at sephora.

| ok..... You know I'm gonna really post when I start it with ok.... lol I have got to tell you... I have been using Bare Minerals for over 5 years now, and I would not use any thing else!!!! My girlfriend, you know the one.... the one who always gets the better prices and deals on EVERYTHING!!!!, decided that she was going to "one up" me on my make up and go sheer cover and ordered it off of the tv... She knew that I had literally hundreds, well.. many many many hundreds! We are in the thousands now..... invested in my collection.... So I asked her to come over with her stuff cause I was really excited to see how it compared! Well, lets just say that I was really nervous that I was going to look like a total ass for having spent so much over the years on my makeup and here my "friend" had gone and gotten the "better deal" once again! I can't tell you how hard it was for me to hide my ear to ear grin when I played with her stuff and really got to feel good about the quality of mine! Bare minerals have the BEST BRUSHES! I am still using brushes I have that are 5 years old! And my amazing new ones!!! I have over 20 different brushes! And I have dozens of shadows, face colors, blushers, liner shadows, glimpses, and other goodies! And any time they put out an eye shadow trio... Grab it!!!! I love the Tahitian Sunrise, and Meet the Browns! And the Metallics are awesome too! And if you want a brown that has the best shimmer to it without making you look like your going clubbing! lol try Coconut Palm!!! Its one of My fave's!!!! And for a great Cheek and eye color... True is an all time winner!!! I have them all, I have the mascara, the lips, the this, the that... you name it!!!! Do not waste your time with the eyeliner sealer stuff, I have it.... no so great.... And the powder compacts... not their best idea... I have a couple if anyone really wants to try them out! lol I'm not a fan! The come in the kits.... I buy EVERY kit that comes out when I can... its a great way to build your color and brush collection.... and if you get doubles of something... trade with a friend or sell it on ebay and buy something else! you can get lots of Bare Minerals New and Unopened on ebay.... So have I ranted enough???? I swear I'd have twice the posts by now if I could keep them short and sweet! lol Never!!!

| As always, Kathryn, you are awesome....you should sale this stuff and do demos on it.....she knows her stuff! I am definitely getting the Bare Minerals stuff at Sephora this weekend! I tried the Sheer Cover - what I bought at Bed,Bath & Beyond, and no one noticed or said anything.....my complexion, overall face, isn't bad, so I didn't need to cover too many things, but again, no one said anything.....not even my husband or daughter. So, either people just don't notice things or I don't need it or something......who knows. Thanks again.........

| Well... One thing I will tell you is..... The best thing about wearing Bare Minerals is that you won't look like your wearing foundation or makeup period! The make up that will be noticeable will be the eye shadows if you pick "colors" otherwise you can go with natural contouring colors that will bring out the natural beauty of your face and eyes! You'd be amazed at what you can do with some simple shading! And the soft focus trio is AMAZING for this! It will also redefine your cheeks and jaw line! Their blush minerals without shimmer in them look so natural you'll look like a blushing bride! Like your the happiest person in the room! If you use a rose or pink shade like glee or some of the lighter pinks, or if you use warmth, a tiny bit! you will look sun kissed! like you spent the weekend in the garden or sitting by the pool, but did not fry like most of us do! lol And the liner shadows!!! I used to wear them wet, and still do sometimes for the rare hussy night out once a year! lol but applied dry at the base of your lash line.... gives you that "eyes wide open look" that we all want! And top that with a quick sweep of their Big Tease mascara!!! A BIG FAVE!!! Its the best Mascara I have used in a LONG time! and the brush is Awesome!!! I've found that with the liner shadow, there is no need to torture myself with the eye lash curler, cause the added volume it gives me at my lash base is more than enough!!! So I totally skip it now and my eyes still look amazing and I am saving my eyes from major premature wrinkling! Something that at 31 I am seriously getting worried about now! (I know.... 31 and worried about wrinkles... Hey! I want cheese to go with my whine!!!! I am all about prevention!!! Once they set in, there is no getting rid of them!!! And I am not inviting them in any earlier than I have to!!! lol) And if you are wondering in the back of your mind if you can really sleep in them???? YES!!! I have been breaking out like mad cause I just spent 5 days in the hospital after my car accident and was not following my normal face care and was on some serious pain meds for the abdominal bruising and the aches and pains... it sucked. Your face is the first place to show stress!!! So I was looking like BLAH! for thanksgiving!!! I totally covered EVERYTHING! And was totally busted when I got home! I flopped into bed, so we got up late and had to run out the door to go pick my step son and I was like.... woah... no time to shower! But my face looked awesome! lol I just touched up under my eyes cause I had a bit of mascara transfer, but a tissue took care of that... and I was out the door! NO oil! NO redness! NO irritation! Nothing! I looked totally amazing! I was like one of those Daytime drama actresses who rolls out of bed looking perfect! lol Ok.... I have got to stop.... my minerals rock! End of story! lol
