| I have 3 poodles a miniature a toy and a tiny toy of 3 lbs. A post was certainly correct earlier when they said the silvers start out black. My miniature was black as a pup and is a silver now. my tiny toy was black as a pup and is still black, when I asked the breeder how she knew he would stay black she told me it comes with experience.... hmmmm Any way he did stay black like she said. Poodles are very smart and easy to train. Mine are not yappers and are always eager to please and little velcro puppies. Can't go wrong I had to laugh about your daughter choosing between yorkie and poodle as I did this every time I got another poodle until finally my last dog I got is a yorkie. Interesting mix to be sure. You will love either one.
