My 4d Ultrasound pics
 

Hey guys! I did a 4d ultrasound on Thursday. I love them and I wanted to share the pics with you all!

How exciting!!! That is so awesome.

Congratulations! How far along are you? I'm thinking of getting these done, but I'm only 18 weeks along!

Wow -- that is a far cry from the static looking images we used to get. I remember having to have which end is which explained on those. Now you can really see your baby! That is amazing!

I would say go for it! It's a once in a lifetime thing! I had to drive 4 hours to Chicago to get it done, I should have got it done when I was in San Diego! Just make sure you talk to your dr about it first. Some Dr's don't agree with having ultrasounds that aren't medically needed. I researched it on the internet and I read that it should be fine as long as you don't have too many ultrasounds done. Also make sure it is a certified ultrasound tech. Also, never do it more than an hour, the place I went to had a limit of 30 mins.

I'm 37wks along, so I should have went in earlier because she was crammed up. I think that's why she was frowning in one of her pics! LOL! They say before 33 weeks is the best bc they have more room. But my first medical ultrasound pic was horrible... it just showed a skeleton :( and honestly it wasn't cute at all like my other son's ultrasound pic had been. This technology had just started coming out about 5 years ago when I was pregnant with my first, but it was $600 or so back then! They were having a special for $125 so I had to do it! This is our last baby so it's definately our last chance to do it.
The only bad thing is that I want her out NOW so that I can hold her! The technician said that she has LOTS of hair and cute big cheeks. She said that she is definately a good sized girl.

Thanks for the advice! I've already had four ultrasounds done at this point and the doc's all seem to agree that there aren't any studies that show that there is a problem w/ having them done, but who knows. I'll wait awhile on these images, but certainly will heed your warning on time- MAKES SENSE!

This is BY FAR the coolest thing I have ever seen. I wish they had these when I was pregnant with my kids...wow!! Do you know if it is a boy or girl yet? You dont have to share that wtih us..just curious if you wanted to know or not?? Wow...amazing...

I love the pics so much! I find myself just staring at her.. she looks like a little angel and I still can't believe I'm blessed with carrying her around in my tummy!
My second ultrasound had said it was a girl and that they were "pretty" sure. I was kind of scared because I have bought SO much pink! lol. This ultrasound she said without a doubt that it was a girl and she pointed it out on the screen as clear as day. Now that is one less worry! A couple of years ago my friend who had a regular ultrasound was told she was going to have a girl and ended up having a boy! They ended up giving away tons of cute dresses! I don't think I could afford to do that at this point. With this being the first girl in the family she is going to have ALL pink!

Thank you! And congrats to you too! Here is a good Q/A from the people that I had originally wanted to go to, but they were booked! The best time is 22-34 weeks and make sure you drink lots of water weeks before you go in!

And you were obviously please. The price is AMAZING and I like that it's only $99 for repeat visits for the same package instead of having to pay the larger fee each time!

That was the one I WANTED to go to! I had seen a newspaper article that had mentioned them as being really good. They also offered a military discount. Most places do offer multiple discounts, but personally I don't think I would get it done more than once during a pregnancy.

The technology today amazes me. Look at those beautiful chubby cheeks. Congratulations and best of luck to you.

Congrats on your new baby! The 4-D ultrasounds are really cool. My daughter is pregnant with my first grandchild and I was able to go with her to her ultrasound to see my grandson. It is awesome being there and seeing new life up close. It is one of the things that has kept me going this year.

Your baby is gorgeous! Did you just cry when you saw that or what? They were just coming out with these images when I was pregnant. I would so much have liked to have one done.

congratulations!!! thats is the coolest thing ever...When I had mine they did ultrasounds (I am not that old) but it was like looking at dots you really never know what you were looking at..but OMG look at that angelic face.. :)

OMG.....she is so vivid......and beautiful! I would give anything to see who manufactures that machine......I would love to work for them!!!


You must be sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited........I tried 5 times for a litte girl......guess I will be hoping one day for a granddaughter...LOL........many, many years from now....LOL

Thank you everyone. I didn't cry, I was just amazed more than anything else. It really makes all of this so much more real and beautiful. Some people don't consider it life until the baby is born. To me, those pictures prove otherwise. She is human and she feels things just like we do (as she looks MAD in her second picture!). She is such a big part of my life and family already. Just looking at her and putting a face to the little one who has been growing inside me is amazing. I just can't wait until she's here. I will definately take some pics and put them up!
