They wanted a boy sooooo bad and they ended up with 3 girls. We grew up and my sister wanted a girl REALLY bad and got 3 boys. I got lucky and wanted a son the first time around and got a boy EVEN though my parents wanted me to have a girl! This time around I really wanted a girl after playing with 4 little boys all the time. My husband swears up and down that the people in his line of work ONLY have girls because of the radiation. (When I got pregnant this first time, he wasn't working that job.) And it did end up being a girl! And this last ultrasound said it was definately right. I do think that I'm finished having kids after this. I don't want our kids to outnumber us! LOL! I just want to have a close little family. |

I would LOVE to be an ultrasound technician! She had the most wonderful job! It was really cute how she kept talking to the baby. She kept saying "Come on sweetie, move your hands out of the way." |
That is amazing! I have heard about those pics, but never seen one! Wow! I'm so glad you shared them! Congrats to you on your precious baby girl! |

oh my gosh those are AMAZING! I guess you don't have to wait the whole 9 months to see your baby! she is very very beautiful! congratulations congratulations congratulations!!! :congrats: I hope you have a fast and easy labour! |
Thanks everyone! It was a VERY fast labor. I had a small burst of water at midnight and I called my sister because I wasn't sure if I had broke my water. Then I had another small burst of water 15 minutes later. My doc had told me to only go if there was LOTS of water, which there wasn't. Then contractions started happening and getting stronger I left the house at 1am. It took about an hour to drive to the closest hospital in Illinois. I got admitted in the hospital at about 2 am (dialated at 4). They wouldn't let me have any pain meds because she was progressing SO fast. I almost didn't get an epideral because by the time they put an IV in and brought me from the triage to the delivery room I was dialated to 9. It was so scarey and so painful. It wasn't until the doctor finally made it in and I only had half of my cervix left on one side and she said I could have the epideral. It only made the last few contractions and the pushing painless. I pushed her out in 2 contractions. (I got to watch the birth on a mirror in the ceiling!) Anyways, Jasmine was totally worth it! She's so precious. I am so thankful and I feel like life can't get anymore perfect. Somehow the little "problems" in life have just melted away. I can just stare at her little face all day. Thank you everyone for the congrats! |
DO YOU HAVE ANY CURRENT PHOTOS TO POST???? *grin* GOT ANY RECOMMENDATION ON THE WHOLE PAIN TIP??? lol My stomach has really grown in size, seemingly overnight. I'm sure it was a slower process than I remember, but it's quite noticeable now at almost 20 weeks. I'm PRAYING that I don't get stretch marks!!! I'm a very fit 25 year old, skinny as skinny gets w/o being boney (5'7" @ 108 prior to pregnancy) and so I'm leary that I might. *sigh* But I'm trying to look into what's the latest-since you just had one here in Illinois (as I will be too in March)-on the allowance of pain control during "the moments" of delivery? I don't think I want an epideral...do you think you could've done w/o it, or no way? ;) I REALLY would like pain meds in an IV though I'm sure, just not an epideral-and no, I don't mind needles, I just don't want something stuck in my spine unless it's really going to make all the difference in the world. :D I'm going in for my ultra sound to determine sex on the 21st I believe... Sorry to take this thread in another direction, but this is my first and probably only and you, I'm sure, can understand my nervousness! :p (yes, I'll talk to my OB, but it's always nice to hear from the new moms too!) |
