| new test for mix breeds I saw a thread on another forum I belong to, spoiled maltese, and it was about testing mix breeds. I guess they have a new test out that will tell you what your dog is mixed with and how much of each breed they are mixed with. Here is the link to the thread... http://spoiledmaltese.com/forum/inde...opic=17209&hl= So what are your thoughts on this?? I wonder how this will change things?? I thought this was very interesting and I would like to see how things turn out.

| WOW! I wish they could do that for cats! I think it'd be so neat to see what my cats had in them. Whisper looks like she may have siamese, but I have no idea... |

| I'm not sure I would believe that. Seems a bit far fetched to me. |

| Well.... It seems like they could also utilize this test to make sure that pure breds are pure breds. It could clear up any confusion with folks who aren't sure whether Spot should have spots... Teri

| I thought that too. How many people here come here wondering whether their yorkie is purebred or not. This test would be able to tell them whether their yorkie is indeed a purebred or if it is mixed. I think this will also stop some scammers that sell a dog as a purebred yorkie when it is really a mix. As for it being real or not, it woulden't surprise me. They have made so many advances in the study of DNA and I could really see them doing this. JMO
