| Guess what kind of dog I saw today at the dog park???? I've never seen one in person before I wish I had, had my camera. I saw a Chinese Crested the hairless ones. He was cute and had on a cute little hooded jacket it was chilly outside so I hope he was staying warm. He is just a puppy about 10 months old and he is bigger than Wyatt, who is around 10lbs.

My furkids Donating Member | I love all animals but there are just some that I wouldn't want to own and I hate to say this but this is one of them (please don't get insulted!) I just like to PET a dog and there really isn't anything there to pet..

I'm with you they are definitely not for me. They have a face that only a mother could love. Now the powder puff ones are really cute.

| They are strange-looking ..... have you ever felt one? We saw two at an Indian Pow Wow in Illinois several years ago. At that time, we had no idea what kind of dog it was and nosey me, I had to go over and see them! Their skin feels like velvet but what amazed me was they were so, so warm!! The owner said they were used in China to warm the Emperor's feet. They had the sweetest personalities!

| I must be the only weird one here because I love the Chinese crested. I happen to think they are cute, not all of them, but there are alot out there with such beautiful markings. Although I think it would be hard to own one because their skin requires special care and my dogs are my babies and you are almost guaranteed that if you own one of these people are going to call them ugly which would hurt my feelings because to me my furbabies are all very beautiful. I would get annoyed very quickly. I would still like to own one someday, not for a long time in the future though. I saw the most gorgeous puppy when I went to Petco one day. I just had to ask what breed it was. It was a powder puff version of the chinese crested. It was soooo cute, the cutest puppy I had ever seen. Just an interesting fact for those of you who might not know this... You can't breed two chinese hairless together and you can't breed two powder puffs together, you have to have one of each to breed them. If you don't the pups will have some major deformities and/or most of the time they die.
