| Remember that big tree? Remember the big tree in front of our cabin that had to be taken down? Well, here's what's left after the tree carver got done. The bear stands on top of the stones and the other critters are carved into the rocks. I really like the little turtle...he's cute! Last edited by fasteddie; 03-21-2007 at 11:19 PM. |

| Thanks! It was pretty cool to watch Mike do this with a chainsaw...he actually had a couple different sized saws to do different things and a dremel to make the fur. |

| That's the neatest thing I've ever seen. Down in Myrtle Beach, there is a guy that can carve anything out of a piece of tree trunk. He's done huge bears, all kind's of birds and animals, Marilyn Monroe standing over the subway grate with her skirt blowing up, the Blues Brothers sitting on a bench (the people he does are life size). I thinks it's awesome that anyone can carve with a chainsaw. Mike did a fantastic job with your tree.

| Wow! That is AMAZING!!! When I saw your title I thought of the big fur and walnut trees that we are cutting down at my house. But I won't have anything as great as that!!

| What a wonderful thing to do with a memorable tree!! The carvings are lovely. We have many carvings like that down by the waterfront in our city...moose, bear, fish, etc. The tourists take their pictures by them all the time. I love how all of the animals were incorporated into yours...he has a wonderful imagination! |

| Thanks everyone! We do get a few 'tourists' here too...they stop in the road to see the bear...it's kind of fun! The smaller animals were actually my idea. I wanted a 'peaceful Kingdom' kind of thing and that's what we came up with. I'm happy with the way it turned out. |
