| beware of dog my neighbor said we are required to have a beware of dog sign. is that true? just because you have a dog you have to display a sign? |

| for yorkies? I have never heard of that one...I have GSD that I have it posted on the fence but it isn't because he will not bite or anything I don't want people just coming up to the fence and him jump up on them or licking them to death.... She has to be crazy or misunderstood what she heard...Yorkies....LOL Although Bear and Lexie think they are 100 pound dogs in a 4 pound bodies...

| I always thought people did it if they had bigger dogs and/or as a joke. I've never heard of it as a requirement.

| All kidding aside I know in the state of Tennessee if you have a dog that will bite or could bite and hurt someone its for your benefit to have it posted....insurance and if they ever did bite anyone its posted....

| I have heard it can hurt you to have the sign posted. It shows you know the danger of your dog biting someone and some people will claim they never saw the sign. It depends on the judges in cases that go to court. Never heard it being mandatory but each area has its own regulations.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I used to have one - but it IS a good idea if you have Meter men or cable men coming into your yard - 1. It tells them a dog may be outside - and 2. Just in case something DID happen - you're covered. |
