Wow! You are very good at researching! I agree with that being a no no to buy the puppymill puppies. This is only going to give them money to go buy other puppies and breed them. | |

| I smell a rat. This woman is out to make a profit! I inquired about Tulip who "wasn't even available for adoption yet" or so the woman said, but she is up on PetFinder for $700!!! That is a crazy adoption fee! This is what the website says: Tulip is 4 months old and weighs 2 lbs. At maturity she should weigh 4 lbs. She is a puppymill rescue. Taffy is her mother. Tulip is shy but very loving and craves attention and affection. She is like any little baby, she cries when her "mommy" is not near. She is absolutely precious and you will fall in love with her instantly. She has a secondary infection she is being treated for, has received her shots, has been treated for demodectic mange(demodex) and is started on heartworm preventative. She has responded wonderfully. She cannot be spayed until she is 6 months old, our vet does not feel comfortable doing it now because of her tiny size. Because of her age, with the treatments and her getting altered, her demodex should be virtually non-existant and easy to keep in check with no effect on her or her quality of life. Tulip's adoption donation/fee will be 700.00. Please don't question our adoption fees. When breeders who contribute to this problem of pet over population and abuse charge 1,200 to 1800.00 for Yorkie females this size, we will not just give her away for "cheap" just because we are a rescue. We have extensive costs incurred in the rescue and veterinary care to get these babies safe and healthy. We need these adoption fees to care for all of our Yorkie puppymill rescues and our other rescue dogs . Our fees strictly go to help these animals. Hahaha!!! My 100% healthy, microchipped, pedigreed, great-bloodlined (champion sired....), 4 1/2 lb male yorkie was only $500!!! Does that 1/2 lb really cost $200?!?! How could she charge that much? Awwww... and isn't it cute that she is the only one on there from AsianDogRescue? I really think that she is making a huge profit from these pups misfortune. Can we do anything about it? What a sicko Heres the link : http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6969944 |
