| I spoke with Kathryn earlier today and everthing seems to be the same. She has been very busy so that's why she hasn't posted yet -- but I'm sure she will soon. Just please keep praying for her aunt Cameron.

| Still praying for Cameron. I really hope they are able to keep her comfortable and that she is able to see her baby (if that is her wish). Please God, watch over Cameron and help her recover this horrible situation.

| I am so touched right now.... Just when I think you guys have shown me how amazing you are you go and one up it!!!! Your prayers are HELPING!!!!!!!!! They removed the breathing tubes and she is breathing on her own!!! She is also talking!!! She is a bit mixed up... but she is talking!!! they did an MRI this morning and it shows brain damage... but I knew that was coming... she also has infection in mutipule areas of her brain.... Her kidneys are still toast... and her heart is damaged... but she is alive!!!! She demanded that they go get me.... she became very upset when she woke up and I was not right there! lol she kept telling my grand mother to go and get me! That I was right out side... To go right now and get me! The whole week that she was out I kept telling her that I would not be very far... that they would not let me stay in her room for very long but that I was not leaving the hosp. , That I would be right outside! Just down the hall in the waiting room.... And that I'd be back just as soon as they'd let me! And it must have stuck! Cause she was serious... she said that I was right outside! (and I was not) We talked for 2 hours!!!! Short choppy conversation, mostly questions and answers... And she has lost major chunks of her vocabulary... like a stroke but without the body issues... its only the mental... the speech... but she really thinks that she is making sense... so I'm just going with it!  I know what she means.... By the tone of her voice... I know her that well... But its scary... for the family that is... for me... I don't care!!!! I'm just thankfull that I had another day with her and 2 hours of serious quality time!!!! Thank you everyone!!! Each and every prayer has been answered... I'm not saying that I am execting her to get up and walk out of there next week.... but for the first time I really feel like there is SOME hope.... Even if the facts say otherwise... she is still pretty bad off... the infections in the brain are NOT GOOD! But hey... I'll take the small blessings as they come!!! Thank you so much guys!!! I just can't tell you how much I know you all are helping her! God bless all of you!!! Kathryn

Everytime I log in I look for this thread. Take those blessings as they come. If they took out her breathing tube that is great! I think it's WONDERFUL that she is communicating with you so much and seems to alert! My friend's father went through a stroke and he barely says anything, he is just starting to learn how to speak again. It doesn't matter if no one else understands what she says. You're her angel and she can communicate through you if she needs to and she knows that. I'm guessing that the parents of the baby probably flew back home by now? Did she at least get to see a picture of the baby? She did such a wonderful thing for that couple. I also hope that she got the chance to talk to her children and tell them everything she wanted to. I know that she's not out of the woods yet, but this is GREAT news! We will keep thinking about her and keep  for her! |

| I was so glad to get up this morning and read a good news post on your aunt. I know she's not out of the woods yet so I will continue to pray for her. I am so glad you got to spend quality time with her. Thank the Lord for small blessings. You seem like a very strong lady. Your Aunt is lucky she has someone so strong to stand by her. I will continue my prayers for you also.

I was floored! I told her how much I loved her, how much she scared me, and how badly I wanted her to come home with me! She started reaching for the Tube in her throat and I pushes her hand back down... her eyes were closed and she was still very dopey! I told her that I knew it was uncomfortable and that I knew she wanted it out... but that it needed to be there, that she needs to relax and not fight the treatments they are giving her... that they are saving her life.. and she nodded yes and agreed... so I just held her hand a while and told her about the family and everyone who had come to see her... and she made faces... lol I also took the opportunity to tell her how much I love her! and told her the things I was afraid I was not going to get to tell her.... Then I leaned in and told her that I would have to get going in a minute... and she really started shaking her head back and forth... saying no... and I reassured her that I was going to be close by, that they only let me be in her room for short periods of time... But that I'd be back soon... and more no head shaking... I just kept telling her I would come back... and then I said that I promised.. and she shook yes... I kissed her shoulder and as I pulled away she lifted both arms! 6 inches above her body! (this is huge by the way!) to give me a hug!!!! She could not hold them there for more than a few seconds... I put them down and I hugged her, she bent her neck and hugged me with her head and then opened her eyes.... for only a few moments... I doubt that she saw much... then I kissed her cheek and told her I would see her soon.....
