The guy in England is and example of, someone who didn't have a decent upbringing who took A song literally, and acted it out. I refered to him as an angel, because if you remember he really only killed Kim, and his mom in his music..maybe even MJ's nose. Rappers since the late 80's have been selling and abusing drugs and women, killing etc in their lyrics...So, that is why he is an angel compared to Eazy-E, Suge Knight....

All I got to say is Eminem MADE it in the Rap world - I like only a few of his songs - but he worked hard at where he is and I respect that - I'm sure there's a side of him no one knows about... but for a white dude in the Rap world to break thru and get respect - You have to admire that. He's isn't doing anything worse than every other rapper is out there and his songs really aren't as bad as some I've heard. There's a few I listen to once and say never again. Eight Mile ROCKS .....that's one cd I played till I was sick of it.

Give me Eminem and the Old Rappers anytime....people can have that dude in the video - I wouldn't waste my money on that.

You are so correct, most of them do, but A LOT of them don't. See, those young men need structure also. Nobody other than your parent, grandparents, gaurdian, and or teacher should be anyone's role model, or hero.

P.S. I know of Females who encouraged their young daughters to write these rappers, and others who let their sons emulate these rappers..These are the very same women who didn't get the validation from home that they needed as young girls...Some/most who aspire to be a video girl...

What does being black have to do with it? I'm surprised to even see that comment from someone! That was totally uncalled for. Who are you to say that black girls look up to being video hoes? To say that being video hoes is what black girls look up to is uncalled for and very racist. Turn on MTV, VH1, or BET next time your channel surfing. You will see that it is EVERY race of girls on videos, even your race, whatever race you are, I am positive is going to be on videos. That's all I'm saying on that, for there is no arguing with people who are ignorant to races and make ignorant comments like the one you did. They never seem to change their sheltered little minds.

And tell me, what kind of angel sings about killing his mom and his HS sweetheart/babymama?? I know he's not the worst, there is definitly worse out there, but that doesn't make it OK for him to do it.

Em is brilliant compared to Kevin Federline. Why? Because in a good song you can FEEL what the writer/singer is feeling as well. It's something you can relate to. All Kfed raps about is being a "star," the money/objects his wife GIVES him, and the media. Most of these things the public can't identify with.
Music is and art which is about interpretation. If you interpreted that Em's song "Kim" was about actually killing her you are wrong. If you interpreted "Kill you" was about wanting to kill his mother you are wrong as well. The only person who can tell what exactly was meant was him which he does for every song in his autobiography.
In his autobiography "Angry blond" he writes that he wrote the song Kim because he wanted to write a love song that wasn't corny after watching a movie. They had been broken up and there was a child in the mix. He wanted to pour his heart out yet scream at the same time. He didn't want to say, "Baby I love you, come back to me." But instead he got creative and wrote something unique. He even played the song for her when they started talking again. He told her that he knows it's a screwed up song, but it shows how much he cares.
I don't believe in censorship. I believe it is the person's own fault if they take what someone says the wrong way. You can't blame someone else for your own actions, that's just making up excuses. If it's a teenager then the parents should be involved and listening to the music that they listen to so that they can talk about any interpretations they have. After Eminem's first album songs like "Kill you" were just made to outdo the other songs.

There are people who have made racist comments about their own race, so proving your black doesn't really change what you said. You're comment to me, seemed like that is all black women and black girls look up to being. I'm just letting you know what it looks like you were saying on the other side of the monitor. And a lot of the videohoes today aren't even black. And I honestly don't think that the girls in the videos have anything to do w/ certain rappers degrading women, yes it attributes to it in some cases, but if the rapper is going to degrade women I believe he'll do it regaurdless if women support him or not.

Thats great that he can be deep, deepness is always better than being shallow, and yes songs can have hidden meanings. BUt what about the Superman song? That song sickens me. I don't like any of Federlines songs that I have heard so far, but I'd rather listen to someone wrap about money then about degrading women just because it makes them feel powerful. There are some songs by Eminem that I do like, but there are a few that make my ears hurt and make me wanna throw up. Because of these select few, I have lost all respect for the man, if he should even be called a man.

I agree with you PlatinumYorkies another thing Eminem has never actually killed someone like some other rappers have, he says it yes but he does not actually do it. Snoop (I do like snoop), but come on he killed that gang member and Suge he had something to do with 2-pacs murder. Oh, I don't want to forget about Diddy (club shooting with J-lo)
