They don't know yet. He is scheduled for surgery this morning at 10am (St. Louis time). THe vet said whatever it is, is wrapped around his intestine pulling on it. My dad seems to think it may be dental floss, since Bailey is always sneaking into the bathroom with a special fondness for it.

Bailey is awake and out of surgery! YAYAY! I gave my dad this link and he said to tell all of you thank you.

Bailey's intestines are very inflammed so the dr took some biopsies and did some manipulation to get things moving again. Poor little guy. Looks like he will be able to go home tomorrow evening.

Oh good ! Do they know what's going on ? My son lost his awesome Mikey - a weiner doggie 2 years ago at 6 years old...it was just a horrible time for my son. I hope they find out whats going on with Bailey - there are so many things out there ready to snatch our little guys - it's so scary !!

bless his heart...I really hope he'll be ok.

Bailey is still in the hospital

He needs some more good thoughts, the vet is trying to get him to eat and he's still on pain meds. So, please, more thoughts for Bailey!!!

Am saying prayers for Bailey and your parents. I too, am from St.Louis, my sis years ago had to have same surgery on their dog, it had a blockage, he came through it all fine. His intestines was full of polyester batting from his bedding

I will watching for an update on Bailey, he is so cute.

Poor Bailey isn't doing well. He is vomiting and not holding down food. The vet hopes it's just from the pain meds and anesthesia but they are going to place him at the 24hour emergency vet

We are praying for Bailey, we know from experience that YT'ers prayers are mighty, our thoughts and prayers with your parents too, it is hard for them. The anethesia and meds can really do a number on one after a surgery, like your vet said that might be causing what is happening with eating. Bailey is so cute.
