Thanks everyone, she is lucky i didn't hit her ,the counciller is bringing it up at the next council meeting so fingers crossed a leash rule will come into place,i wil keep you all posted

How dare she!! In NYC we have leash laws that require all dogs to be on a leash while in public, at all times, regardless of size. Also, we have some dog parks that are for specific size ranges of dogs. Maybe, if you come from a small town with only one dog park, your council can designate days for certain size dogs. That way everyone gets a chance to exercise without the danger of being attacked or having small dogs together with big dogs. As for her comment about the rats, she's lucky you didn't knock some teeth out of her mouth!!

Yeah we do only have the 1 park, thats a really good idea about designated areas and certain days, i never thought of that,thanks im gonna go write to the council again

Okay first.......what the hell?!!! The nerve of that women! I think we would have had it out right then and there!

Second...I have a big lab and german sheppard and they are well behaved and stay right next to me!!! It shows the lack of training and responsibility on her part! People like this give us big dog owners and big dogs a bad rap! That is nonsense!!!

Third......that is why I am not a big fan of dog parks...and, er, parks in general....you have so many different pets and people there and they all think they are right and know best when it comes to their dog AND your pets well being too! I just don't find them safe!

Lastly, I think that is a good idea (quote above). If nothing else, there should be designated days for certain sized pets.....even though, it shouldn't come down to that because everyone should have enough common sense to train and handle their own pets and respect the safety and well being of the other animals at the park.

Stupid people like this really piss me off!
