Regardless of asbestos or not, I don't believe tampons are healthy. Something that can cause TSS "out of the blue," cannot be %100 safe in all other aspects. Think about it, pads don't cause TSS, neither do other metods.

There is something in tampons that does cause cervical cancer, my doctor told me that it is more prevalent in peoples mother that took a drug in the 50"s & 60's when they were pregnant...I will have to find the name of it, I can't remember but anyway what they said happen is that when a woman back then was spotting or having trouble in her pregnancy they gave her this pill call the miracle pill, but found out later that it cause the off spring to be more out to get cervical cancer than ones would didn't take the pill...I don't know what is true, but I had it and been cancer free from that for 20 years, my sister had it also...
