| I think it started because Target is owned by a French company. That's what my husband says anyway. He doesn't like Target because they won't let the Salvation Army solicit there. I still insist on going & the Starbucks inside lures him in too. |

| This is too funny . . . . This exact thing happened to us yesterday ! ! We went in for a binder for school. Never found the binder but we did leave with $106.00 worth of "stuff" we didn't need We got Lexus & Harley an adorable black & white polka dot bed, I just couldn't resist My kids call it "Tar-Jhay, the fancy little french store" They say it every time, it's not Target. If someone else says Target, they say "Oh, you mean Tar-Jhay, the fancy little french store ?" They're a hoot |

| I love Target. I make myself go with a list! But I always need Tide and garbage bags and stuff so I'm usually doomed. I try to limit trips to once a month but sometimes I just go in there and wander. And you can't go without browsing the dog aisle! I shop at Trader Joe's for groceries, so I'm not pulled in by that section.... luckily! My co-worker always complains about the salvation army thing but it doesn't bother me. I never carry cash and some of those people can be really pushy (not always, I know they are not supposed to be). Of course they are an important organization, but I'm OK with not being made to feel guilty about buying shampoo & toothpaste I can barely afford to begin with. Last year the SA was out in force in our local downtown where people were out shopping. I felt that was the appropriate spot for them. People were shopping for gifts or going out to eat, not running errands. You could tell they were very welcome there and there were PLENTY of people! It made everything even more festive!

I think that's an urban legend. Here's a link that talks about all of the Target rumors. http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q...&sp-m=1&sp-s=0
