| ![]() Thanks everybody! The doctor increased her pain meds and added a new medicine, thankfully! The doctor said that the 3rd day is the worst. Since he did the surgery at 8:00AM on Friday, is this the 3rd day? I didn't ask if Friday counted as day one. Hubby says no, I say yes, either way, she is in lots more pain today than yesterday, she doesn't want to eat or drink anything at all and is just laying on the couch moaning. Poor baby. The doctor also said that day 7 through 10 were the most risky for her to begin bleeding because the scabs would be sloughing off then... gross... Who would guess that? I thought mouth injuries healed way faster than that, especially in a kid. Well, thanks again for your prayers and kind thoughts.

| ![]() Fellow YT'ers, I would like to thank you all for your sweet words, thoughts and prayers. Katie is back to her old self, and almost at 100%! We are so relieved to see her doing SO well. She still has a little pain now and then, and Tylenol is taking care of that! The tonsillectomy is a much more painful and serious surgery than I remembered it being when I had it done back 28 years ago! Funny thing is that her main/chief complaint is ear pain, which her surgeon said was normal. Thanks again! Kriston
