I am soooooo not a creative person when it comes to this so I was trying to look for a place where you can look at a pic like the decorations and just buy it and assemble it just like that! lol... | I went from the country look to a more modern look last year and I love it. I painted to walls a beige/sand color and two wall burgundy. I bought a Neutral type couch and chair then put burgundy throw pillow and sage green to add color. Then I had a chair custom made by LazyBoy that is really modern looking and has a fabric that has burgundy, sage green, beige and a rust color in it. I bought two huge pics with those colors at Kholz, big candle holders, pic frames, some of those wicker and wood ball things in a basket, etc.... also ck out Pier One if you have one. Its a great store. Above my fireplace I bought a big huge mirror with cool accents on fireplace. On one Wall I spent alot of money on pic frames that has this sage type accent around them and hung a wall sconce w/ candle in between them. Also Target how has alot of cool modern looking things for the home. Good Luck. I love to decorate. My family always calls me when they want a new look. I made my family room an Indianapolis colts room for my hubby and he loves it. We call it his room hhaha has a huge tv, colts pics and i huge a jersy on the wall then took a real football, let the air out and hung it beside the jersey. it looks like the football is coming out of the wall its neat. Watch HGTV.. Its the best!!!!! Last edited by DENISE517; 07-18-2006 at 07:05 AM. |

| IKEA has a lot of show rooms that you could easily copy. Also, if you could to a place like Target, they have all their pillows and stuff coordinated by color and then you could just do your walls in a similar color. Neutral furniture is best since all colors go with say, a neutral couch. |
