help with my addiction
 
to shopping.,,.
every day im online shopping... i cant seem to stop.. monday at kohls
spent arouund 100.00, today again around 100.00. last week again at kohls.
miles kimball for little house stuff, table clothes and ice trays etc.
old navy .. oh perfume on line yesterday.... how do i stop this... ??
i just love it...

girl, im gonna give you a piece of advice. ready, listen really good cause im only saying this once! go through your clothes perfumes, and all that stuff you ordered online before and find the ones you dont wear or use anymore. have a garage sale of those items and then, this is the most important part, use that money to go buy more! :D

Sorry babe I can't help you. I'm a big time shopper too. Either I'm buying the dogs more clothes or I'm buying stuff for me and Jim!! I'm a shopaholic!! :p My real passion is designer name brand bags ... when I see a nice bag, I just melt!! :p Gucci, Prada, Dooney & Bourke, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors ... bring 'em on!! LOL! :D :D

your not the only one though, isn't it just peachy that i live like, 5 blocks away from one of my favorite malls???? just yesterday i went with my mom to dadeland (another one of my favorite malls!) and i got a new pair of shorts, 2 (or 3 cant remember :rolleyes: ) shirts, a lipgloss, and new juicy sweats! can you blame me? there was a 40% off sale! im just glad my mom is a big shopohlic too or else i wouldnt be at the mall so much :p

I am a big old cheap wad.....seriously.....I but groceries and stuff thats is in desperate need. but i dont so the shopping thing. My husband is Thankful for that! haha:D :D :D

the thing is, i just love to shop, i buy for everyone... especially my b/f.
i see something on sale i have to have 5 of them... i have around
50 pairs of summer shoes. around 30 winter boots... around 40 victoria
secret bras, 150 underware, around 35 jeans, 15 capris forget it, i can go on and on.... i have 2 wall to wall closets in my house... and another closet
in the spare room, with shelves in all.. all filled to capacity... and 2
large dressers... im a sick girl.. the thing is, they are all good stuff and dont want to part with them,, fairly all new tooo..... really dont have a problem
with paying bills, i pay my credit cards off as they come in... no interest
to anyone,..im smart that way... i just love clothing. its my sickness..
anyone else as sick?

by the way, i live by myself and my frig is stacked and my freezer cant fit
anymore food.. you open it , everything falls out... and i keep buying too.
do i cook for myself,, no.... but gotta have that stuff, just incase

Girl, if you're paying the bills and don't have huge credit card debt - I would not worry! I think many of us are the same. I love to shop - hubbie always laughs when something new comes in the mail. :)

somewhere where lexi can run in a yard and maybe get more puppies.

Ditto same for me I have the nicest Micheal Kors bag never carried it. I bought a pair of Chanel sunglasses in Vegas because they are Chanel and they were in Vegas LOL!! Actually going today to buy a bag for a wedding on Saturday. Sorry I wish I could help but I am bad too.

SAME HERE! I have two louis purses, a michael kors, a couple dooneys, a dior, a DKNY, a few coach...it's a sickness. And now I have discovered sunglasses :cool:

((and don't worry...the purses were mostly gifts...and I found two of them at TJ Maxx for a good 70% less...if you like designer purses then hit up TJ Maxx...if you're there at the right time you will find incredible purses for really low prices...not even joking!))

I just gave up half of my purses to the MS Society last month to put up for auction on EBay with all money going back towards the MS Society...it was hard to part with my purses but it goes to a good cause (my mom has MS so it's an organization I volunteer with that is very near and dear to my soul)

PS - I just got the cutest DKNY bag last week! It's this nice, creamy brown with darker leather straps. Sooo cute for the summer and fall!!

i think im a compulsive shopper,, at one time i had 16 gallons of bleach
in my basement ... and 5 gallons of laundry detergent too.. my mom tells all her friends that her daughter thinks the world is coming to an end...
shampoos, forget it, when i get down to 5 bottles, gotta buy more..
same as toilet paper no less than 15 rolls in my house,, you never know

I know how you feel about Shampoos I have 15 bottles in the linen closet. I tried one time to count the cost of having all of that shampoo and not using it then I said forget it I don't wanna be depressed LOL. Here is a serious suggestion because I really do understand what you are going through. I saw this on Oprah.....give yourself a weekly allowance (whatever you think is reasonable) put it in an envelope and write down everything you buy. That way at the end of the week you can track where you spent your money. I did this just to see where in the h*ll all the money was going and also to test myself to see if I could do it. Well I did it for over 3 months and I feel much better now about my spending. I splurge occassionally on a nice bag, shoes, sunglasses etc., but it's not like it used to be every week I was buying another handbag to put in the storage bin under my bed because my 2 closets have overflowed.

I have also made a commitment to myself to save a certain amount with each settlement I have. Just think of the bigger picture that's what I have to keep reminding myself of. Good luck.

If you can afford it go for it, but if you care about your future with or without the boyfriend, just stop shopping, plain and simple. Don't go to the sites or the stores, or better yet, go and don't buy anything. I used to shop a lot AND I MEAN A LOT, but then something happened in my life when I was sorry I did all that shopping because I had nothing to pull me out. So it was at that moment that I learned to save. Just stop shopping and start thinking about if something happens, will you have enough to help you or will you have a bunch of stuff that will be worth nothing?

how about every single time you get the urge you put $$ in a jar ..anything from $1-$20...your saving at the same time stopping a expensive habit!

Because you will need it on a rainy day, believe me. You don't think things can happen to you but they can and they will. You don't want to look around one day and just see a bunch of "stuff" that has no meaning in your life. Shopping has become something I enjoy more now because I do it less. So now its a real treat for me as opposed to before I felt like it was part of my daily routine. Don't even count the boyfriend yet, but think about saving up for your OWN house, whether or not he's in the picture.

annabelles mom, miles kimball is a great site, go into it and order a catalog.
its has load of houseware stuff, dog stuff,, just plain old stuff.. great prises too.. checkit out

It never hurts to save up for a bigger home or for investment properties. Trust me it will come in handy one day.
