| *grits teeth* i'm so aggrivated right now. i know i'm being a bit of a baby.. but still. soooo.. i'm moving away to go to college and i have two roomates. we're going to be living in a big two story house and between the three of us we have a golden retriever, 2 cats, and my yorkie. well, i want to rescue a westhighland terrier who's owner got cancer and now she has to re-home them. but my roomates wont even consider letting me adopt her. i'm totally trying to consider their feelings, but i have one dog that weighs 8lbs and one has two cats and the other a huge dog. so technically the golden retriever equals two small dogs. and two cats equal two small dogs (both cats are way bigger than my yorkie.) so mathmatically, i should be able to have another small dog. maybe that only makes sense to me. i just dont think it's fair that i can not have a 2nd dog when we're all paying equal amounts of money. PLUS we have enough space. blah i just needed to vent. |

| I like your math, Mikey. Good luck I hope it works out so you can get your second baby. I know you will be a GREAT dad to both of the kids. You have such a good tender heart, please please don't lose that somewhere along in your life's journey. |

| I sorry that you are having disagreement with your roommates. Well, I could see their point if each of you had one pet each, but one roommate has 2 pets where two of you only have one. So if it was me I would tell the one that has two pets if you are not allowed to have your second dog than one of their's has to go since it would not be fair to you and the other roommate with one pet. Good Luck!!!! BTW, roommates can be pain in the bottoms sometime. |

| Your calculations make perfect sense to me. I would go ahead and get the dog anyway, regardless. I am sure they need you to complete the rent and will not toss you out over a 7 pound dog (I am guesstimating here ). Besides, if it is after the fact and you already have the dog, what can they do?

| Mikey, don't do it... Yes, your heart is completely in the right place, but you need to go into this school year getting along with your roomates! If you go against their wishes and get the pup anyway, you will be completely starting off on the wrong foot. I would make it clear to them that if they disagree with you getting another pup, then they cannot get any more pets either. Mikey, you have assisted in the adoption of so many pets now. If you look around you, you will probably be able to find another one of your friends who would be willing to take the Westie. Good luck, honey!

| I'm sure your roomates will cave in with your excellent mathematical persuasion. I know my daugther is in college and works too and she feels that she doesn't have the time to properly care for even one dog at this time in her life. So please think about how much time you will be able to give the dogs and the financial part also. Do all the pets get along? |
