| It's times like this where I just need to punch a hole in the wall LOL So I woke up this morning and was heading downstairs...and glanced out the window. The yard was COVERED in thousands of pieces of little bits of paper and the trees were covered with toilet paper. I started cleaning up around 11am...and didn't get done till close till 9 tonight I called the cops and told them and asked if they had other patrols out at night. He told me that they are already out in our area because 3-4 incidents have been reported. i don't get it? And the bits of paper in the yard? torn/shredded up homework and school papers some pieces had the name of the kid! If you're going to do something stupid then don't leave your name We know the kid, we know his family, and the kid always was trouble. What i don't get is how an 8th grade boy, in a city with a midnight curfew for 18 and under, can walk a mile from his house to ours carrying trash and toilet paper and not be noticed by a cop that's supposedly in the area? And he had to spend at LEAST an hour or more destroying our yard. How is it that nobody saw or heard anything and if the cops, that were supposedly "assigned" to our area never saw this kid walking around after 2am? (I was up and downstairs till 2am and the windows were open so if he was out there before then I would've heard and FREAKED OUT ) This person got right up to our doorstep, folded paper towels and wrote "welcome" on it...a little home made welcome mat...how sweet It's scary cuz we've been getting nasty prank calls on an almost nightly basis. Plus our house was robbed in the past and one time i walked out on a creepy guy just...chilling...on our back deck a week later a house behind us was robbed It just...freaks me out. And I was supposed to go on a walk on a really nice walking trail with my dogs and my friends and their dogs. Instead I had to stand outside in the 90 degrees and clean up. And the least I could've gotten was a tan...nope...burnt to a crisp http://ysu.facebook.com/album.php?ai...8b&id=49100020 That's the link to photos of it (you don't need facebook to view photo albums so you can just click on that. to see my profile you actually need to be signed up for facebook but to just view albums you just need the direct link) sorry...i had to vent. I am FURIOUS right now -Melissa

| What and idiot to do such a thing. What's the point of doing that. Sorry you had to pick up that mess. I would just put it all in a box and give it to his parents.

| That sucks... I've had friends whose houses were TP'd, but fortunately it never happened to our house. Look on the bright side... It could be worse. It could've rained and then you'd have soggy paper and TP all over! |

| That was smart of you to read those pieces of paper. I would definately go to that boy's house and talk to his parents, maybe with the police. The best you can do is LET the boy know that you know who it is and you'll be watching him. I do worry if they're good parents though. I don't understand how they didn't notice that their child was missing in the middle of the night for that long. He would have definately needed a ride over there. I can guarantee they had a vehicle since so much paper was used, I can't imagine kids walking down the street at 2 in the morning with that much paper and toiletpaper hidden in their shirts or something. Hopefully his parents aren't crazy or have a problem with you and are helping him along. Or maybe he has some teenage friends with a car. Too bad your dogs didn't bark to alert you. Mine always bark when there are strange people in the yard. Maybe you should install some kind of motion light or some other security devices. Good luck and I hope this never happens to you again. |

| I also would have taken those papers with the kids name and headed to have a talk with his parents. If anyone should have cleaned up that mess he should have! Man, so few kids now days have any respect and this is just another example. Lately we have an egg bandit who gets his kicks out of creaming our cars with eggs. We dont' know any one here so it can't be anything personal, but yesterday it was about 110 here and they hit us with obviously cold eggs that not only made a nice mess but also dented our cars. I am about fit to be tied and let me find out who this culprit is and there will be hell to pay I promise. I'm buying a camera for the front of my house tomorrow!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG ! That's a huge mess ! It used to be that was an honor to get TP'd but it sure doesn't sound like it in your case....The way some kids are these days I guess you could say you're lucky - he COULD have broken all your windows or worse...but that's no excuse for plain MEANESS.....I agree with whoever said - pack that up and give it to his parents - and too bad you couldn't make HIM clean that mess by the way - you have a nice house !! |

| Argh it was a HUGE mess to clean up and to top it all off I am hypoglycemic and also have asthma (haven't had an attack in a LONG time). I was standing out there in the heat, humidity, with grass and trees all over for a good 10 hours and had my first asthma attack in I don't know how long (I forgot how positively terrifying those are ) and didn't even have an emergency inhalor that I could use because it had expired so I had to steal my mom's to use (same stuff) and then I got so into the cleaning I forgot about dinner until I felt like crap and realized my blood sugar was low And now this morning I am short of breath and the back of my legs are KILLING me from the constant standing, bending over, getting up, etc. ARRRRGH We collected the bits of paper and have a plan on what to do (I don't want to type it here...I mean chances are the kid isn't going to find this but I don't want to type out what we're going to do and then have someone he knows find out or him see it and intervene). It does not involve stooping to his level, though. Thanks to whomever commented about my house Saturday I leave for Naples, Fl July 8-31 with a cruise with family friends thrown in there. I need it badly lol. Although I will miss my yorkies -Melissa
