We are thinking of adding another baby to the family, and considering a Maltese. Does anyone else have a Yorkie and a Maltese? How do they get along? Lily is only 8 months old, would it matter if we got male or female?

Several members on YT have malteses. I love the breed - they're so cute! I was never a dog lover until I fell in love with a maltese and after doing my research, got a yorkie.

my friend has a BEAUTIFUL maltese girl and my boy yorkie gets along with her just fine.

We have a Maltese girl named Tiki, and our Yorkie boy is named Surfie. Thay are madly in love with each other. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. We got them at the same time, and they are only 1 week apart in age.

Jodi your girls are gorgeous, as are your little dresses. Guess I have a bit of shopping to do as Tiki needs a birthday dress and I found just the right one on your website.

LOVE the names of your babies...(our Macaw is named Tiki)...they sound so tropical!! Makes me think of that island calling my name!!

i have 1 dog. a yorkie. my next will be a morkie. yorkie/maltese mix. i think they are so cute.

I can't answer that question...yet. But...I have a yorkie and will be getting a maltese puppy monday!!!! I am so excited, I have always wanted a maltese puppy. I am getting a male, which I am alright with, wish it was a female so I could put a dress on, but nope he is a male. He is 4 months old and soooo adorable. I am only paying $200 for him, other wise I would have got a female. The only reason I want a female is so I can put dresses on. But I can't wait until monday!!!!!

I think they will get along just fine, and I am sure I will soon be able to tell you that they do get along great.
