| Scammers on e-bay.... read and beware My mom just called me about my aunt about to fall for a scammer on e-bay. Donna (my aunt) had someone buy one of her $250.00 chandaleers (sp?) off e-bay then they sent her an e-mail with this (I can't quote exactly but you get the idea) : I was wanting to get this chandaleer shipped to Africa where I live. I've got a certified check but they gave me too much money on the check so I trust you and I would like you to cash the check right away and keep the money for the lamp and shipping and then please western union the rest of the money back to me. I would like to pay extra to have DHL pick up the package the day you receive the check so I can get it right away. Then they asked some questions like will your bank cash the check right away for you and some other quetions that just throw up red flags right and left.... Can you believe my aunt actually replied to their e-mail.... At least afterwards she called my mom because she thought it was a little fishy and my mom told her to not reply to anymore e-mails and report them to e-bay a.s.a.p... So she got them reported and they have been removed now.... Scammers are everywhere, and trying to be more and more sneaky....BEWARE Crystal

| That's really odd! I buy a lot of stuff off of ebay, but I only purchase people who have Paypal. Paypal covers your transactions up to a certain amount. |

| There was one lady on the news who got scammed $3000 out of a wedding dress. She was a buyer though. She didn't win the auction and the seller messaged her telling her that the deal fell through and that he would sell her the dress if she sent the money. She did and no dress. Since it agreement wasn't under an auction agreement Ebay didn't have anything to do with it. |
