| Has anyone here tried the Mystic tan! I have had tanorexia since I was a child. I love to tan and I realize the damage the sun ha done to me over the years. I have cut down significantly the amount of tanning I do over the last two summers. However, I hate being white and I need to try something new. I am going to get a mystic (spray) tan later this afternoon. Does anyone have advice before I do it. Should I exfoliate? Should I not pile on my daily lotion? How do I get the maximum life out of it? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

| It all depends on how fair you are to begin with....They try and make you believe that everyone looks great but trust me that is not the case...the more natural color you have the better...I am very fair and when I tried it I turned orange tan....and streaky....so did my other fair friend. Make sure to exfoliate really well with a non oily exfoliator...plain old sugar mixed with lotion is a great one...just use oilfree lotion...Also put a little extra lotion on your knees, elbows and ankles because these areas tend to absorb more color and turn darker. Good luck!!!!! I have learned to be content with my fair skin but the positive side is I am in my 40s and have no sun damage. My sunworshipping friends have not been so lucky...they are all trying desparately to get rid of the damage. Wear your sunscreen when out in the sun. Good luck!

| woohoo Mystic! I too suffer the same affliction! I love the look of a nice tan - I feel sick and gross when i'm my usual pasty white self. I tried the Mystic tan and I thought it was pretty good. It doesn't make you orange which was my biggest concern. For the money, I dont feel that it lasts nearly long enough (lasts about 7 days they say, I say 4). Definitely exfoliate REALLY well the day of so that you aren't spraying dead, dry skin (tan will last longer this way). You can't shave your legs, underarms, etc THAT DAY - the spray will go right into your pores! Don't wear deodorant or perfume. Anyways, you may have already gone for your tan - in which case, i hope you weren't disappointed! Otherwise, I hope this helps! For people like us, I definitely recommend it, I just wish it wasn't so bloody expensive here.

| I am a tan freak also. I tried it once, and hated it. For me it was too much work, plus is was more orange color than tan. Also is streaked and did not go on even. Good luck I hope you have a beter experience than me. |

| You can count me in the club for tanaholics!!! I really like the mystic tan, but really now what I use is I go tanning once a week and everyday use Jergens lotion with bronzer they have it for face and body. I have tired Lancome, St. Tropez, Aveda etc... and Jergens is the best by far and it doubles as a lotion Oh and the best part is it's only $5.99!!!!
