Oh... when I was little my uncle used to make :turtle: soup! They always told me it was Vegtable soup... till I got older, I caught on to that.. then the hamburgers.. ya right,, deer burgers.

EWWWW. those things scare me !!! I was pumping gas the other day and there was a baby possum there right next to me.... shoot I had to decide... finish pumping my $3.00 gas or leave!!! Guess what I picked:eek:

We used to have possums...
 
Living out in the country - really way out in the boonies...they would come right up on the deck to eat the cat food. Now let me tell you...those buggers may freak some of you out, some of you may thing they are cute...but they carry DISEASES!!! Rabies too! In my husband's mind, the only good possum is a DEAD possum. When we saw them, target practice with the 12 or 20 guage shotgun was on. I think in the like 5 times we have seen them, he nailed three of them...and they were the big ole nasty, snot coming out of the mouth, stare you in the eye while they eat the cat food and the cat is scared to death, 20+ pound nasty POSSUMS!

It was REALLY good!! I've made it twice so far. But tonight I ordered Chinese, (the usual, Generals Tso's chicken, salmon sushi, pot stickers and egg drop soup! Yum)

I'm staying out of the kitchen as much as possible! :D

I cooked a racoon ONCE....I threw the racoon and the baking pan AWAY....gross. :eek: My father was the great white hunter....Lord, as kids...we'd been served rabbit (not RR's mangled one), squirrel, bear, deer, frog's legs, snake. I have decided that if I wanted something that "tastes like chicken"...I'll swing by Food Lion and buy a package. :rolleyes:

No kidding...let's just say if we invited friends for dinner....they asked what we were having FIRST. :rolleyes: And my father was the "gotta eat everything on your plate" type....ya'd sit there for hours and if ya thought bear was gross warm....it's not any better cold. Tell ya what I used to do....I had a sit on a bench at the kitchen table...there was a small slit in the upholstery...I'd put my peas, etc. IN that slit...years later, my parents had it recovered. The upholstery guy calls my dad and said you are never gonna believe what I found IN this seat. :eek:
