| Vet. tech This thread is really just me bored at work and wanting to type something. I figured I would let out a little of my frustration... Ok, I'm wanting to start taking courses online for getting a degree in Vet. Tech. Well between my husband and my mom for some reason they are acting like they don't want me to do it. I guess they want me to sit at the d**n desk for the rest of my life and work in the family business. Well, I really want to do this so I'm just not paying them attention. The only person who is behind me on this is my best friend Lindsey. Ok well my mom did give me one piece of good advice. I love animals, all animals and I'm al little overboard with it. So my mom told me that I should probly do an internship for a month or so on the weekends to make sure that I can even handle being a vet tech. Then I started to think about it and she's right. I really don't know if I can give a pup a shot and hear them squeal. I know it would be for their own good but I don't know if I could do it. Or what if a dog comes in with a broken leg, can I be the one to have to pop it back into place??? Ok, so I called my vet that I take my pups to and he said most students sign up for internship in January and he's all filled up. So I call another local vet and their full. So now I'm waiting on another vet to get back to me to let me know if she has any openings. Keep your fingers crossed for me..... I really, really, really want to do this, I just hope I can....LOL Crystal

| What about working at a rescue centre on a volunteer basis and see how you cope in that situation.

| Right now I am taking a vet tech course on line, and I am loving it! It deals alot with dogs and cats, touches a little on farm animals, and how to deal with the public,i say look on line, research and if its something you want to do, do it!
