The only time I ever kinda felt sorry for one of them is when some kids pushed over her cake. That shouldn't happen to people on her birthday. But then her reaction was, "that was a $6,000 cake and I didn't even get to see it."

i admit i watch it. i went to a private prep high school and alot of the girls were like that. it brings me back to high school and makes me laugh. i wasn't one of those girls. my parents were strict catholics and we lived a very grounded lifestyle.

Cheryl they showed that episode today. For an $800 cake it was ugly and plain. Now come on that damn girl was only turning 15 and look at the things they gave her. I am all for giving my kids but not to that extent that they were giving those little girls. I mean come on a Lexus (meanwhile the chickenhead had no license) and a Rolex. That is just outrageous. The worst thing is that the little heffas don't appreciate a damn thing. Even if I had a lot of money like some of those parents I would never let my kid have things that easy. I can only imagine them as grown ups. I sure don't want any of those kids around mine.

My girlfriend lives in Marlboro, NJ and she said that there are very affluent folks around there. Her son's friends are all turning 16...one kid got a hummer, the other a corvette and his best friend got a porche cayenne. She can probably afford to buy her son a nice Civic and said she feels bad. I told her shoot I would buy him whatever he could match me on that he earned from working. I really think you have to make these kids earn theirs to appreciate it.

I hate to admit I love the show.....but only because I love to see the selfish brats! :p It cracks me up....the one girl was crying because of a centerpiece she didn't like. I wanted to say "B$#@ch, for my 16th birthday I got CONTACTS and thought that was great!" :D

I think that is a GOOD idea. While I was going to high school I had to get a job and then pay for my car that way. I also paid for the gas and insurance. If you EARN it you APPRECIATE it more. She shouldn't feel bad. Why does a 16 year old need a Hummer these days? Especially with gas prices the way they are. Showing off is not a good enough reason to be stupid. Some of those people can't even afford it and are just pretending. They should just use that extra money on a college fund. That is more important than a depreciating gas hog just to show off.

You know what is funny I told her those kids are from families with successful parents but they are being reared by the nanny and the housekeeper so in my mind her children are way richer. They have her and her husband. I think that is much better than a material object. :D
