I watch the show sometimes. I watch it in shock. I can't believe how those kids behave and talk to their parents. They are snobs little monsters. :(

That show makes want to slap those kids and parents upside their head. If I every acted the way they do, my mom would have kill me (literally!!). But I am with Shana, I catch my self watching sometimes, then I wondering why the heck did I watch that.

i love to watch it actually! i mean, all the girls talk to their parents like if they were nothing, but its like addicting! its amazing how selfish they are! but i think 2 weeks ago there was a girl who got a yorkie! its was really cute, she named him Louie!

Did you guys see the one where she painted her poodles pink? I felt so sorry for those dogs being put through that!

I have seen that show a few times. I watch it with my daughters and younger sister at times. Let me tell you these kids are pathetic. Spoiled is not even the right word. Did you see the one that wanted the cinderella theme with the horse drawn carriage?

I could slap each and every one of those girls. My girls know that they would never get to behave like that. I dont' see the whole thing about a sweet 16. I rather save that towards that college tuition to come. Some of these people spend like it's a wedding.

I totally agree with you. When I watch the show it makes me so mad to think these kids are the future generation of America and they have NO IDEA the value of a dollar. And there parents are soooo to blame, its riduclous that these parents buy there kids everything and enable there kids to turn into these horrible monsters. Im glad everyone on here has the same opinion that I do.

nah.. they'll probably hook up with equally freeloading bf's and husbands who feel entitled to have the inlaws buy their homes, buy their cars, give them jobs where they don't have to do squat, etc etc. :rolleyes:

i think what's really sad is, mtv is so popular amongst the teens and tweens. kids will watch this show and thing as if it's the norm. that their parents SHOULD throw them a big extravagant party. that it's not out of the ordinary for children to disrespect their parents. or, make it sound as if bad behavior is "okay" because it's at least not as bad as those spoiled "super sweet 16er's". it gives the impression to kids that wastefulness, stubborness, and selfishness is "cool" and "fun", and "gee, i wish i can be previledged like one of them so i can get whatever i want and the word 'no' would never be in my parent's vocabulary". i think the show's effects on impressionable teens and tweens is what annoys me the most. :mad: :thumbdown

I have seen it, but I must say I have no idea why I watch it. Watching those spoiled brats makes me very mad. At the same time though its kinda funny to see actual people in the world that are that lost as to what the real world is. :)

It does seem like stuff is staged though. On every episode there is 1 stupid thing that the kid whines about that the parent says they can't have, then they eventually get it for the party wether it be a car, or a singer. It's getting so obvious and lame... Sorry, I guess you can give your hubby the feedback.
The first episode wasn't bad from the first season. 2 girls had a party together and they charged everyone $1 to get in and it all went to breast cancer awareness.
I really do think that they are wasting all of that money just to show off. I hate the way they talk to their parents, especially the way Sophie did. She is the one who told her mom to sit down and shut up. There was another girl that was really annoying, the one who said, "EWWW a used car!"
I really hate how the kids say that people don't like them just because everyone is jealous. No, we don't like you because of your attitude. And they always say things like, "My party costed more than my parents wedding, but I DESERVED IT." No child, you did not deserve it. You only deserved it if YOU worked for the money and earned it, not fell into it. I just feel sorry for whoever chooses to marry these self-absorbed people someday.
HAHA! Believe me, these people don't need to be edited to look bad, LOL! My hubby or any other editor on that show could care less about any feedback. This is just the kind of stuff that mindless America eats up. In the mean time, we are insanely well off thanks to the amount of money he is paid to cut this crap!!!

You are KIDDING ME ? Don't those stupid kids know their real mom GAVE THEM UP ? No one 'took' them away. I'm adopted and feel the opposite Adopted KIDS are the lucky ones - not the parents. MAtter of fact - their lives would probably SUCK if they weren't adopted.

What are the kids these days learning ? :mad: Wow - I think I've heard it ALL after reading this.

You are right. An adopted child who gets brought into a loving family IS the luck y one. And I totally agree that in most situations someone gave them up. That girl from Sweet 16 acted like she was the princess of the house and their dream come true. Totally made me sick. I can't wait until they go out into the real world and find out that it's NOT like high school. In the real world she will be just like everyone else. That is what will hit these kids HARD. That they are not princesses, but we're all equal. And I don't care if you drive your daddy's BMW, that won't get you a real degree or a decent job.

I'd give anything to see one of those spoiled "sweet 16ers" to pick up the doggie doo in my back yard and watch them do chores to earn 15 bucks on Friday...wonder what they'd do with that money? That would be one episode I wouldnt miss.

I watched the show this morning. It was so stupid, I would smack some of those girls if they were my own. They have absolutely no respect for anyone or anything. Im doing everything that I can to make my children apreciate everything that they get. I had to work for things when I grew up and I am completely against just giving in to them when they want something. I think its just bad parenting. Children are born being selfish, its up to us to teach them respect. Anyway, enough of that. It is amusing sometimes to watch them freak out over nothing. I would love to crash their parties myself!
