A girl had her Pom Puppy at Albertsons So I went to Albertsons(grocery store) to get some milk and fruit and I walk over to where the registers are. I couldn't believe that a girl had a pomeranian puppy in the front of the cart. I decided that I didn't want to be behind her and I went into the next lane. Anyways, I was expecting the cashiers to tell her animals aren't allowed, but instead they just said that it was so cute, then the bagger started petting her! The part that grossed me out the most is that the bagger didn't wash her hands and started to bag the next person's meats. I love dogs and all, but I think it's gross having them in grocery stores. Apparently a lot of laws agree with me. Service dogs are different because they are trained and have to go through A LOT of things to become service animals. The absolutely have their shots, etc. It is different with pets. I know some people say their dogs are cleaner than some people's kids, but I have yet to see one kid that licks his own butt! I don't expect everyone here to agree with me. I just don't put my dog on the table, on the counter, in the frig, or anywhere else our food is. I'm just so grossed out because I put food in the cart, not my dog. I don't know how some people keep their dogs I only know how clean MINE are. But I know how gross Brandy can be!

i agree , food stores should be off limits for pets. kids with runny noses should stay home too. (just kidding) ... i may seem like an ocd freak , but i always wipe off the the cart handles with antiseptic wipes. our local food stores provide them.

I usually carry some wipes in my purse, but I keep forgetting to buy more! Thanks for reminding me, but it will be difficult to wipe down the whole cart. Thanks for listening to my rant. lol.

Still don't want to see a dog in the grocery store, though. Not everybody keeps their animals clean and healthy...
