| I would pay what you think you owe. Then tell them that you have the receipt but that it is packed right now until you move your things in and unpack. Then you will find it. The proof is on them because they lost it. Let them do whatever they want to do. The most they can do is take you to small claims court which does not cost you anything anyway. See if they want to bother with doing that knowing that you might be able to find your receipt. The worse scenario is you will have to pay the money. Best is they won't take the time to take you to court. |
