| West Nile Virus,,,,,,,,, We got (what I just found out) an infected bird hanging around the house. We had a run in yesterday with this deranged bird from hell. This pigeon had been sitting on our roof for about 5 days now and wasn't bothering anyone till yesterday. I figured it was sick because my son tried to shooo it away and it would fly very far. But yesterday it started to swoop down at our guest and Gus. It even had me running in circles scared half way our of my mind! I have to admit it was funny. And I know if I would have seen it happen to someone else I would have been rolling on the floor laughing too. But to have it happen to me, my laughes turned to fear. I even tinkled in my pants a tiny bit trying to run from this stupid bird. Yes you can laugh. I know I would. Anyway, I called Animal control just a while ago and they told me that the West Nile Virus is claiming the lives on Pigeons and crows big time around here and to stay away from our deranged sick bird. They are going send some one down today. Meanwhile we are here trapped in our own house too scared to go out there. I did a quick search on the Virus and it's not to be messed with. If any of you notice a sick or dying bird around your place, stay away from it! Don't touch it. Call Animal Control and with these warmer nights coming wear your bug & mosquito repellent. Make sure that there is no still water sitting around your home. The virus comes form mosquitos. They lay their eggs in still water. I am so paranoid now with the pool and everything. There was a notice sent home last year from the kids school but it now that we have a sick bird here, I'm getting a bit nervous. As soon as someone comes and gets this mad bird I am going out there and checking that there is no still water and I am going to be skimming the pool every day!

| Well it looks like we got a picky attacker. It seems to like long hair. I'm guessing here. It didn't go after the little boy who was bugging it, and it didn't go after my neighbor (female) who has somewhat short hair. So I figured it was ok to go check the mail, nope the damn thing came after me again! I called animal control again and they said that they would be here sometime today. My daughter stood in front of the window laughing watching me run back to the house.
